Instead of waiting for people to name the most haunted place in the state they live in, why don't we go state by state and discuss which place is the most haunted and then decide? People have said that the Drish House is the most haunted in Alabama, so the 2nd state would be Alaska. Looks like we have suggestions for the most haunted in Alabama, Alaska and Arkansas, so that takes care of the A's except for Arizona. I've heard that The Bird Cage Theater in Tombstone is haunted and there was a murder in the building. I think we have some members who have been there. Does anyone know if it's possibly the "most haunted" place in Arizona?I've been to the Birdcage Theater. I think it is haunted. I think the whole town of Tombstone is haunted. Is it the most haunted in the state? I am not sure. There are places in Bisbee that people say are the most haunted as well. Personally I don't think there is a "most haunted" place anywhere. How do you quantify that? It is interesting though to see what people say are the most haunted places.

I've been to the Birdcage Theater. I'm not sure if it's the most haunted in Arizona but I haven't found anything else that's more haunted. After Arizona comes California and I suggest the Battery Point Lighthouse in Crescent City. I lived in CA most my life and visited many haunted places there. For me the most haunted would be the Whaley House in San Diego, but I've never been to Battery Point Lighthouse.

For Colorado, as trite as it may be, I'd have to say The Stanley Hotel. I experienced strange things there every time I went.

For Connecticut, I can’t think of any place more haunted than The Yankee Pedlar Inn located in Torrington. Unfortunately, it’s closed now but the city is trying to renovate it and find a buyer. While there’s nothing special about the exterior, the interior is quite impressive – and spooky.

Next is Delaware: A lot of people say Fort Delaware is haunted but because ghosts are more likely to haunt places where they were happy, I think the Rockwood Mansion in Wilmington is probably the most haunted.
Since we already have Florida, the King House in Mayport, and Georgia, Heritage Hall in Madison, I suppose we’ll move on to Hawaii, a state I know almost nothing about, so someone else will have to decide which location is the most haunted.

I've heard that the Pacific Aviation Museum at Pearl Harbor is haunted by the ghosts of men who are still attached to the planes they flew. I think Ghost Hunters did a show about the museum.

The next is Idaho. Most of the "most haunted" places on Google are old hospitals, prisons and graveyards, which, we all know, are seldom haunted. But I found a couple that may pass for most haunted. One is the Standrod Mansion in Pocatello and the other is the White Horse Saloon & Cafe which I found in the Mystery Location archives.
Next is Illinois. I'm sure there are others here who know more about Illinois ghosts than I do but I think we should consider the Schweppe Mansion.

For Indiana, the Willard Library in Evansville is probably the most haunted. There's the Hannah House in Indianapolis but a lot of the stories about it are made up and then changed to be more PC.
Next is Iowa. I know the Villisca Murder House is said to be the most haunted but I think the stories are a lot of hype and wishful thinking on the part of paranormal investigators. I think the Mason House Inn, which is located in Bentonsport, is probably the most haunted.

I think the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence may be the most haunted place in Kansas.

Nebraska is next. I think the Bailey House Museum in Brownville may be the most haunted place in Nebraska, and the Mizpah Hotel in Tonopah is probably the most haunted location in Nevada.
New Hampshire is next.

For New Hampshire, I suggest the Mount Washington Inn (Bretton Woods) or The Windham Restaurant (Windham).
New Jersey is next.
