The people here are a lot more down to Earth than those on Facebook and other sites that post articles about the paranormal, so I'd like to know what house, building or other location everyone thinks is the most haunted in each state. What impresses me the most about those on this site is that they don't believe old asylums, hospitals, cemeteries and prisons are usually haunted, because spirits of the dead return to places where they were happy in life, not to places where they were killed or experienced trauma.

I live in Alabama and the most haunted house in the state is definitely the Drish House in Tuscaloosa.

I think the most haunted house in North Carolina is either the Attmore-Oliver house in New Bern or the Isaac Taylor house in New Bern, however, the best known haunted or mysterious locations are the Devil's Tramping Ground and the Brown Mountain Lights.

The most haunted house in Louisiana is Destrehan Plantation on River Road west of New Orleans.

In my opinion, in Tennessee, the most haunted house is probably Rotherwood in Kingsport. In Arkansas, the Allen House in Monticello is the most haunted.

I've been trying to think what location in Maine would be considered the most haunted but haven't come up with one yet. Like everywhere else today, Maine has numerous haunted houses, inns and other places, but deciding which is the most haunted is difficult.

I think the most haunted place in New York is either Beardslee Castle in Little Falls or The Dakota Apartments in NYC.

I live in Illinois and I'm trying to come up with the one place that seems to be more haunted than any of the others but there are so many.
Instead of waiting for people to name the most haunted place in the state they live in, why don't we go state by state and discuss which place is the most haunted and then decide? People have said that the Drish House is the most haunted in Alabama, so the 2nd state would be Alaska.

I don't know enough about Alaska to make a suggestion for the most haunted location, but I think the most haunted place in Kentucky may be The Old Talbott Tavern in Bardstown.

I think though the most haunted would probably be the Red Onion Saloon in Skagway.

Looks like we have suggestions for the most haunted in Alabama, Alaska and Arkansas, so that takes care of the A's except for Arizona. I've heard that The Bird Cage Theater in Tombstone is haunted and there was a murder in the building. I think we have some members who have been there. Does anyone know if it's possibly the "most haunted" place in Arizona?

I've been to the Birdcage Theater. I'm not sure if it's the most haunted in Arizona but I haven't found anything else that's more haunted. After Arizona comes California and I suggest the Battery Point Lighthouse in Crescent City.
