"Harvest Home" is one of my favorite books. I also liked the movie, "The Dark Secret of Harvest Home," but the producers and writers made a lot of mistakes about things. One thing that stands out was that when Beth Constantine was cleaning the tiles around the fireplace, the Widow Fortune said that they had been brought from Cornwall in England to America, but the corn on the tiles was Indian corn, or maize, not what they call corn in England.

Are we going to have a Story/Poem Contest for Halloween this year? If we are, I would like to know early and I'm sure others would too. We've been having just 2 or 3 weeks notice and that's not long of us for some of us to write something.

I agree, Kate, she has some good suggestions. But still, the bottom line is that some people can do research and write and some can't. Lee told me that it only takes her a few hours to research and put together the information for her Today in History articles, something that would take me weeks and even then, I doubt that anyone would want to read them.

People have a good reason to fear crazy people and Satanists are crazy. They’re not peaceful, no matter what they claim to be. Remember last year when they went to a cemetery in Mississippi and performed some kind of silly ceremony to turn Fred Phelps’s mother into a gay woman and one of them placed his dick on the tombstone? Only crazy people do such things and there’s nothing peaceful about defiling a cemetery.

People have always been fascinated by death and depravity and there have always been men who defiled the dead. Some of the members of the Hellfire Club were necrophiliacs and there are stories that they dug up newly buried females.

I doubt that Gardner was vegetarian. He was just a dirty old man. I know some Wiccans, who say that eating meat violates their “harm none” rule, but I know others who eat meat. For some reason, Wicca attracts a lot of animal rights weirdos, who don’t really know anything at all about real witchcraft.
When I went with some friends to the pagan shop run by that Bert Dahl freak in Arkansas, he didn’t have any real witchcraft items, just a bunch of statues, regular candles and other junk that wouldn’t be of any interest to a real witch. The teenage girl who wanted to go to the shop was looking for Hexing Oil, but of course he didn’t have any. Real witchcraft uses all kinds of oils, herbs, roots, candles, washes and things like 4 Thieves Vinegar and real witches don’t go in for all that “harm none” foolishness.

I'm having a lot of problems posting. I replied to a post and got an error message, so I reposted it and now I have two posts.

Feeding him to the Rottweiler and burying any leftover bones would have been a lot easier than stuffing him in a freezer and transporting him across the country.

On some sites, this ugly idiot argues with people and claims that he's never had any problems with online groups. Just thinking about my only live encounter with him gives me the creeps. When I went with friends to his trailer, where he had his silly pagan shop that time, I didn't know until afterwards that he was the one who caused all the problems in Mystic Investigations. He has two or three people who go from site to site personally attacking anyone who tells the truth about him. What bothers me, other than that he's one of the slimiest jerks that I've ever met, is that he is so clueless that he can't seem to understand that pretending to be disabled and living off the government upsets people. He seems to think that what he's doing is fine, but he's white trash and that's the way white trash people think.

In the books that I've read, there hasn't been very much about the victims. They concentrate more on whoever the author thinks was Jack the Ripper.

I've noticed it. Just recently, some Wiccan complained about prayer being said at a school. Others object to In God We Trust, now this. I agree that they need to stop trying to find things to complain about and do something positive. I don't like Wiccans.

The blood and piece of scalp found belonged to the father and daughter. Did it occur to anyone that the black guy may have been the one who killed them and then took off?

I didn't know everything was just as it was when Elvis died either. I had read somewhere that Priscilla redecorated the house after Elvis died because Linda Thompson had decorated everything in this tacky red velvet, like something from Barnum & Bailey. She also created what is called the Jungle Room. I've been to Graceland and the Jungle Room is just about the tackiest thing that I've ever seen.
Dr. Nick said that the bowel problems that Elvis had were hereditary. His mother died when she was in her 40s and the pictures of her show that she was bloated just like he was before he died, so she could have had the same thing that he had.

Even though it turned out that he had a tumor, he still knew right from wrong and everything that he did was premediated as proved by the letters he left. If he was having bad headaches, he should have gone to a medical doctor, not a psychiatrist.
