Women don't always use good sense where men are concerned. A lot of women have been taken for everything that they have by con artists.

I wonder if they were followed from the casino. Maybe they won a lot of money that night and so they were followed home and targeted for robbery. That was my thought too, as soon as I saw the word "casino".

I'm not sure that I believe anything this sheriff says. The last time that he said they had new evidence, it turned out to be nothing. Now that a year has passed, he claims that they have a suspect, which is a big coincidence.

Memory in a person's genetic code could explain a lot and it's something that I'd like to know more about.

Every time I read something like this, I'm glad that I didn't have a daughter. My niece went through a phase where she wanted to dress like a slut. My brother told her that if you dress like a whore, men will treat you like a whore and that's true. But you can't tell teenagers or young women that. They think that they should be able to go out half-naked and if a man or boy gets out of line, it's all his fault. I also blame the parents of this girl because I wouldn't have let my son go out to bars when he was 16 and my brother certainly wouldn't have let his daughter go out drinking and dressed in a top that showed everything when she was living at home.

I think that this goes a long way in explaining why kids today are so much sicker and overweight than they were when I was growing up. When I was a kid, we spent most of our waking hours outside playing and being made to stay in the house was punishment. We got colds or the flu every now and then and we had measles, mumps and chickenpox, but we weren't constantly sick like most children are today. Now, you can't get kids to go outside and when they do, they aren't paying attention to the world around them, they're texting or talking on their cell phones.

I remember that article. I hope that you'll repost it for Halloween. It's hard to find anything in our old groups.

I would call this case "gothic." Why would John Hill have recorded Joan's voice and played it back for Ann Kurth to hear? I don't believe everything that Ann said, but I think that she was becoming suspicious and asking too many questions and John Hill was trying to either kill her, drive her crazy, or make others think that she was crazy. I mean if she had told people that Joan was haunting the house, it would have discredited her. Hill was a nasty piece of work without any morals.

I'd like to read this. It was featured on either 48 Hours or one of the other shows, but I didn't know he gave her the drugs through an enema. Right now it's $20.71 on Amazon in hardcover and it's not available in paperback yet. Maybe the library has it. I remember that show, it was on 48 Hours. I don't think that they said anything about the enema during the show because I think I'd remember that.

The woman I knew said that Rhea Robinson told her that John Hill would go to see Joan in horse shows before they were married, but afterwards, he never went unless he wanted to drum up business for his plastic surgery practice. He didn't have any interest in horses or in anything that Joan did. He didn't have any interest in his son either until after Joan's death, then he claimed that he wanted him to spite Ash Robinson.

I love haunted schools, but there are a lot of more interesting haunted schools than the ones in this article. The one about the little red schoolhouse was ridiculous. If some schoolmaster had killed 12 children, everyone would know about it.

Jason, I don't think that just because a man plays the piano, or some other musical instrument, that he's gay or has homosexual tendencies. I do agree that John Hill had some unusual tendencies for a man. But whatever was wrong with him went way beyond music and decorating a room. A man who would do what he did to his wife, the mother of his child, is evil.

I used to know a woman who knew Rhea and Ash Robinson after they moved to Pensacola and Rhea told her that it was John Hill who pursued Joan after he met her and that Joan picked up the tab every time they went out to restaurants, etc. Rhea told her that neither she nor Ash liked John Hill from the beginning and that Ash considered him to be something of a namby-pamby. I don't doubt that Joan was interested in him and eventually wanted to marry him, but I think that he set out to marry her and he really did have a master plan.
