You live in Floriduh and ya'll have that "Sunshine Law," so where does this witch live? What does she do? Ann DePaola Mroz lives in Coconut Creek, Florida, and she's married to Richard C. Mroz Jr. -- both are registered Democrats. She works as a registered nurse at Broward Health North in Deerfield Beach. She used to live in Halethorpe and Columbia, Maryland, both of which are located in Baltimore. She's lived in a lot of other locations, too.

What is a "Sunshine Law"? Or is this some kind of joke? The Sunshine Law guarantees public access to state records, prohibits closed meetings, etc.

So this screwball, who suddenly "recovered" all those memories is a nurse working in a hospital where she's supposed to be taking care of patients? I wouldn't want her nursing me or anyone I knew. The hospital needs to require her to have a psychiatric evaluation before continuing to allow her to interact with patients.

It was today, 49 years ago, that this woman's body was found in the snow and the police aren't any closer to the truth now than they were then. In my opinion, those crazy women and their recovered memories did more harm than good because now police are all wrapped up in proving a priest did it instead of looking for the actual killer, who probably didn't have any connection at all to the church.

If you posted this comment on some sites, people would attack you like a flock of buzzards going after carrion and they'd continue attacking until they picked your carcass clean. It's scary that people today have become so gullible that they believe everything these Sacred Cows say. It's the Satanic Panics all over again.

Recently, police in England identified the "Croyden cat killer" as foxes because the only DNA found on the carcasses was that of foxes. But people weren't satisfied and now they're saying the cat killer is traveling the M25 highway, which is around 120 miles in length, paying almost $6 per gallon for gas and killing cats along the way. A couple of posters tried to explain it didn't make any sense and the others attacked them like a nest of angry hornets. Think about it: These are the idiots who elect our leaders, which means the world as we know it won't be here much longer.

I agree with Jason that social media is part of the problem, but of course this mentality was alive and well in the 80s too (as you said, it's basically Satanic Panic II). We (as a society) seem to flip back and forth between extremes: ignoring or downplaying major problems and injustices, or recognizing and over-correcting. I think what we're seeing now is the over correction. The refusal or inability to understand that being sensitive to and supportive of accusers (sometimes prematurely labelled "victims"), while a good thing to do, can't be at the expense of taking an overall neutral position (withholding judgement) and allowing for an investigation and evidence. Are any of you familiar with the ongoing Jussie Smollett debacle? If the recent reports pan out, it looks like his (alleged, but probable) actions and the initial public outcry is a perfect example of this. And it's also probably the same demographic who was hoodwinked again. Another tangentially related subject: HBO's recent release, "Leaving Neverland". Have any of you seen it? I actually stopped by to see if anyone had started a thread about it.

I haven't seen "Leaving Neverland," but I was never a Michael Jackson fan. What are your opinions about the his case? I don't recall his accusers or defenders being as vehement as those commenting on "The Keepers," but perhaps I wasn't paying attention.
Joanna: When you read this, how about starting a "Neverland" Thread?

I never believed what that dentist said. I don't think that Maskell ever abused him. His story sounds more like that of a kid who got on the wrong side of a teacher or coach, or whatever Maskell was back then, and let whatever it was fester for decades. Then when the women started telling their stories, he saw it as a way of getting even.
Charles Franz looks and talks like a burned out old hippie, whose brain was fried by booze and drugs years ago.

Anyone who denies and critizes that these horrific events took place is comparable to denying that the holocaust took place. Please give respect to these courageous victims whom have been traumatized by the Catholic Church.

To criticize Charles Franz as burned out hippy who is indeed a dentist, obviously is not capable of using reasoning or any type of logic. Once again I think anyone who denies these horrific events happened are the same type of people who deny that the holocaust ever took place. It is a very very scary world out there.

Please give respect to these courageous victims whom have been traumatized by the Catholic Church. Anyone who reads the comments by these sacred cows and believes everything they say lacks the ability to reason. They contradict each other and themselves, particularly that ugly cow Donna Von Den Bosch, and if you're shocked by what people say here, you should read what they say in the other "Keepers" thread. Even investigators hired to assist in the investigation doubt their stories: whatliesbeyond.boards.net/thread/6923/netflixs-true-crime-series-keepers
BTW, if you're going to criticize others, you should at least learn how to spell "criticize." To criticize Charles Franz as burned out hippy who is indeed a dentist, obviously is not capable of using reasoning or any type of logic. Once again I think anyone who denies these horrific events happened are the same type of people who deny that the holocaust ever took place. It is a very very scary world out there. All one has to do is look at and listen to Charles Franz to know he's a burned out old hippy. And enough already with that ridiculous "holocaust" analogy because it proves you're totally out of touch with reality.

If you really believe what you're saying, you're either very young or very naive. There have been many burned out hippy dentists, doctors, lawyers and other professionals. As for your rather juvenile comparison of these women's allegations to the holocaust, the Allied forces found proof of concentration camps and cremated bodies, but there's only the word of a group of women and the burned out hippy dentist that any of these sexual assaults took place. I'm not Jewish, but if I were, I think I'd be quite upset that you compared something so trivial to the holocaust.
