The Town of Hooper is Offering Summer Ghost HuntsHOOPER, Wash. – Have you ever wanted to investigate the paranormal? Or spend the night in a haunted hotel? If the answer is yes, the town of Hooper is offering overnight ghost hunts this summer.
Those brave enough to investigate have the option of choosing between a three-hour ghost hunt or an overnight investigation. Private tours are also available for groups up to 10 people which includes the option of a four-hour ghost hunt or an overnight investigation, as well.
Three separate buildings will be investigated during the course of the hunt: the town’s hotel, the general store and the grain building near the railroad tracks. Author Zane Grey, who stayed at the hotel in 1917, described the area as a “lonely, hard, heroic country.”
Costs range from $45 to $100 per person, depending on which hunt you choose. Private tours are from $650 to $1,150 per group.
According to the website, tours begin in mid-August for a few select dates and begin again in October in anticipation of Halloween.
Billed as a “Haunted Ghost Town,” Hooper is approximately 95 miles southwest of Spokane on Highway 26, between Washtucna and LaCrosse.
