Corn Sticks
Ingredients: 1 cup yellow cornmeal ½ cup self-rising flour ½ tsp. salt 1 cup buttermilk third-cup cooking oil 1 egg lightly beaten
Instructions: Preheat oven to 425º. Place the cornmeal, flour and salt in a medium bowl and mix thoroughly. Oil the corn stick pan and let it warm in the oven 5-10 minutes. Add buttermilk to the dry mixture and stir lightly and add oil. Beat egg slightly and add to mixture and stir all ingredients lightly. Carefully remove the corn stick pan from the oven and spoon batter into each section until full. Place pain in oven and bake at 425º for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to a cooking rack. Serve warm.

I've used this recipe a couple of times and the corn sticks are delicious. I developed a taste for Southern cornbread when I was assigned to duty stations in the South when I was in the Navy. If anyone is looking for a great Lammas recipe, I recommend it.
