There's a book called Willamette Werewolves about werewolf sightings in Oregon. The author is Mark Miner and it's a couple of years old. It costs something like $26 now and from the reviews that I've seen, the guy who wrote it can't write. Has anyone read it? I'd like to read it, but not at a cost of $26!

I don't know about that book, but I wouldn't read it for $26. Perhaps you can get it on Amazon's used market a bit cheaper
I live in Oregon, in a semi woodsy area within a few blocks of the Willamette river. Every time our motion activated lights come on outside, we always joke about it being Sasquatch.

Try Half.com or a public library?

I tried both half.com and ebay and they're even higher than Amazon and Amazon doesn't have any cheap used ones either. The book is self published so there probably aren't very many of them.
If there are werewolves in that location, someone would know about. That's why I asked if anyone had heard about it. It's probably just something the author made up.

I have never heard of any "Willamette Werewolves" but I am new to Oregon.

Well, April, this will be a good paranormal project for you. Find the werewolves!

I suggest you search for articles on the topic. Then let us know what you find.
Also if you do buy it and can read really fast you might be able to sell it for about what you paid.

I don't like to give money to "authors" that I don't feel have earned it. I don't want to contribute to more junk being "published". Upon doing a simple Google search, the only mention of Willamette Werewolves that comes up is in connection with Mark Miner. It is probably something he came up with just to try and make money.

Here is one review I found:
"very poor author and style is that of an elementary student. Find a new profession your a disgrace to "authors""
There was one more review I found that gave the book 5 stars, but that review was written by Mark Miner himself.
