When we were in England, we stayed a few days at a hotel in Postbridge on Dartmoor, and from there, we visited several interesting locations, one of which was the ruins of Holy Trinity Church in Buckfastleigh. We heard about mutilated animals on Dartmoor, but most of the mutilations are actually the work of predatory birds and small animals. Still, the remains of the burned church, the tomb of Squire Richard Cabell, and the location in general were very spooky. whatliesbeyond.boards.net/thread/408/ancient-dartmoor-legends
