In case anyone here is unsure about watching this series, I wanted to write about it. I think it is actually worth watching.
It starts out awful quite honestly. Catherine Zeta Jones as Morticia and Luiz Guzman as Gomez were terrible in these roles, in my opinion. They have zero chemistry, and it was actually painful to watch the romantic scenes between them.
This surprised me because I always thought Catherine Zeta Jones would have made a great Morticia Addams, but it just wasn't the case. Others have said that they were trying to be more like the cartoon version of the Addams Family, which I haven't seen. Maybe if I had, I would understand them more. Maybe they are meant to be very off putting because they are the Addams Family afterall, but it wasn't off putting in a good way for me. They just didn't have any of the charm I was expecting.
I almost stopped there, however I decided to watch episode 2 and give it another chance. I am glad I did. I thought Jenna Ortega did a great job as Wednesday, and thankfully Morticia and Gomez are in very few episodes.
It is a bit of a teenage drama, but for what it is, I found it enjoyable. By the end, even Morticia and Gomez started to grow on me a little. Just a little though.

What is this supposed to be, a remake of The Addams Family? It is an original series, involving the characters from The Addams Family. It's mostly about Wednesday, and her adventures going to "Nevermore", a boarding school for outcasts and mythical creature kids, such as werewolves, vampires, sirens, etc. As this story goes, Nevermore is where Morticia and Gomez originally met.
