I mean, I love ghost stories too, but don't follow those as much as I used to. I even love true crime so much I got hooked on Only Murders in the Building on Hulu/Disney+ lately.
I'm 52, live in the Vancouver area in British Columbia with my mom and two cats. I've moved all over and have one brother living in town. I love it here. I have some excellent friends in real life and online. Love and support are always a good thing.
I find that sometimes even though true crime is interesting, it can get to you and you do need to look out for yourself. I've been touched twice by crime in my personal life, with parental abduction on my dad's part and later murder-suicide of him and my step-mom. So it's personal for me.
Life is short, enjoy it while you can and look out for yourself and those around you. Keep your wits about you, and don't do risky things because you think it happens to someone else. It doesn't.
Love being here and new, Kim

Love being here and new, Kim Welcome, Kim. Sorry for the delay in replying, but I just now saw your post. I'm not much of a true crime buff myself -- I prefer ghost stories. Have you checked out the two different categories of true crime articles on this site? They get a lot more posts and views than those about ghosts and other mysteries.

Welcome. I'm also a true crime aficionado. I was born in Alabama and have never lived any place else, although I've traveled a lot in the U.S., Canada, Central and South America and Europe, including a trip to Romania to see Dracula's Castle.
