Woman Calls in Bomb Threat So Boyfriend Will Spend More Time with HerOn Thursday (September 23), at 9 a.m., Kayla Marie Blake, 33, of Etna, Maine, called Maine State Police and said she was going to plant a bomb at Puritan Medical Products in Pittsfield. Two hours later, she called again, saying she was going to place four pipe bombs at the plant.
Following her arrest, police learned Blake’s boyfriend worked at Puritan Medical and she called in the threats so that he would be sent home and she would be able to spend more time with him. She was booked into the Somerset County Jail in Madison on a felony count of making terrorist threats and her bail was set at $1,500.
Puritan has two facilities in Pittsfield with a total of approximately 400 employees and both plants were evacuated.
The woman’s boyfriend currently works in the facility making swabs for medical use, including COVID-19 tests. Sources: Lynn Fort, The Bangor Daily News, September 24, 2021; and Michael Lee, Fox News, September 26, 2021.

This is one of the craziest things I've ever heard. She called the police, didn't she know they could trace the call?
