As many of you already know, Hurricane Elsa is headed for Florida, where many of our most active members live. Hurricanes often result in power outages, so don’t be surprised if the “Thought for the Day” is missing and there are fewer posts.

Right now, it's only supposed to be a tropical storm by the time it reaches northeast Florida and southeast Georgia.

According to the latest projection, it's veering west and St. Augustine isn't in its path.

We had some damage where I live in southeast Georgia and at the Kingsbay Navy Base, which is next door. I'm not sure if there was a tornado, but there was a lot of strong wind.

I heard on the news that one person was killed in Jacksonville, but here in St. Augustine, there was nothing but rain and light wind.
