A black Lincoln Navigator with a casket and corpse inside was stolen Wednesday (February 26) around 7:45 p.m. from Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church at 778 Rosemead Boulevard in Pasadena. The church was holding a Trisagion ceremony for a member whose funeral is scheduled for today.
The thief’s intentions are unclear and it is unknown if he (or she) knew there was a body inside the casket.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department tweeted the following message:
“To the suspect(s) driving around in a Black Lincoln Navigator stolen from the 700 blk of Rosemead Bl just after 8PM today ... Out of all the bad decisions you have made, at least make one good one & bring back the deceased person & casket inside the Navigator.”
