I'm re-watching The Crucible and I've seen the play twice. I know it's not a true account of what happened but people say the other movies about the Salem Witch Trials, like the one with Kirstie Alley, that claims to be a true account, are mostly fiction, too. What exactly in the The Crucible and the other movies isn't accurate? In The Crucible, Arthur Miller compares the Salem Witch Trials to the communist hunt of the 1950s led by Sen. Joe McCarthy of Wisconsin. In the play, he turned Abigail Williams, who was only 11, into a teenager who had an affair with John Proctor. In what was advertised as the "true story" of the Salem Witch Trials, Kirstie Alley played the part of Ann Putnam, who was one of the primary accusers, but in the movie, she intervenes and puts an end to the trials.

How could anyone become addicted to something as vile as carrot juice?

That's ridiculous. Ghosts are supernatural and the rules of nature do not apply to the supernatural. Ghosts appear without bodies, so if they wanted to speak, they could do so without vocal cords. Ghost hunters who think what they call electronic voice phenomena are the voices of the dead are part of what's commonly known as the lunatic fringe. They're in the same category as people who believe the earth is flat and/or that there are "black-eyed children" all over the place.

This is interesting. I'd like to see more articles about different poisons and how they work. Are you thinking about killing someone?

Congratulations. I thought the "location where people have difficulty making decisions" would be hard to figure out, but I guess people know more about what's going on in Oregon than I thought they did. Don't you read or watch the news? Everyone knows what the crazy liberals are doing on the West Coast. Over the weekend, a crowd of as many as 50 shoplifters descended on Nordstroms in LA and stole more than $100K in merchandise, numerous large stores have closed, druggies shoot up in the streets, the homeless live on the streets and use the sidewalk as toilets, and no one does anything about it because the liberals have defunded the police and people are allowed to break the law without consequences. This is the reason counties in eastern Oregon and Washington and northern California would prefer to become part of Idaho.

Was it you or someone else planning to visit his museum while on vacation this summer? It was recently and the person talked about driving through Nevada and stopping at the museum in Las Vegas, but I can't find the thread. It was snowfairy in the "Bagans Buys Bundy Kit" thread. She's probably on her trip now because she hasn't posted in the past few days. whatliesbeyond.boards.net/thread/10357/update-bagans-bundy-investigates-ritual?page=2

I thought I knew this one from the beginning and now, I know I'm right. It's The Travelodge, Room 231, 411 SW Dorion Avenue, Pendleton, Oregon. On August 14, 2012, (exactly 13 years ago today), AmyJane Brandhagen, 23, who worked as a maid at the motel, was found stabbed to death on the bathroom floor of Room 231. Pendleton isn't a high crime area and police had no leads. A year later, on August 9, 2014, Karen Lang was violently assaulted and left for dead while jogging beside the river. The only link between the two attacks was that both women attended the Pendleton Free Methodist Church. However, the assailant was caught on video in the area where the assault on Lang occurred and turned out to be Luka Chang (aka Danny Wu), a Taiwanese man who had been brought up in the United States by his Christian missionary parents. He was a member of the US Marine Corps for a short period of time, but deserted. He pled guilty and when asked why he killed Brandhagen, nonchalantly replied that he was "curious" to see how it felt to take a life. He told investigators he saw her while previously staying at the motel. "I saw her work, and just— 'Oh look. Target. Opportunity. Attack,'" he said. He was sentenced to 35 years to life. The case has been shown on Dateline reruns several times. Pendleton is in Umatilla County, one of the few eastern Oregon counties that hasn't yet voted to secede from the state of Oregon and become part of Idaho, so it's a "location where people have difficulty making decisions."

The ghosts of the past were a lot more interesting than what passes today for ghosts. On sites like Facebook and Reddit, they're still posting pictures and videos of orbs and claiming they're ghosts. If these people are so great at technology, why can't they understand that "orbs" are nothing more than light refractions? Ghosts haven't changed, people have changed. The ridiculous "orb" craze started with digital cameras, and some idiot "paranormal investigator" decided ordinary sounds, that can be picked up anywhere, were the voices of the dead back in the 70s, but it didn't catch on until teenagers began trading nonsense online.

I saw something recently by a man who claimed he was communicating with Denise Naslund's spirit, and we had someone like that who posted on this site once. I never hear of anyone claiming to communicate with the spirits of the other women he killed, what is it about Denise Naslund that attracts the crazies? I think it's because her mother, Eleanor Rose, was so vocal about her daughter's murder. She would talk to any reporter who contacted her, so more people are familiar with the names Denise Naslund and Eleanor Rose. No one even knows the names of the mothers of any of the other victims.

There's going to be some sort of event called a "Meet & Greet" at Lyndhurst in Tarrytown on the weekend of October 21-22. We haven't been on a Dark Shadows trip since 2019 -- 4 years! -- and I'd really like to spend a few days in Maine. Catherine, Serena and I are planning to attend the Arkansas Paranormal Expo in Little Rock the weekend of October 28-29, but if we came back on the 27th, we could do both. Or, we could scratch the Arkansas trip -- I'd much rather spend time in Maine than Little Rock! lyndhurst.org/events/meet-greet-dark-shadows/?fbclid=IwAR1Wh-TRV05S_TnJGxVOk_1NafIqyauODtEAzsesikufTqp14Oj4SnduknM As we discussed via email, we've already made reservations in Arkansas and it isn't fair to Serena to back out now. So you and I can return to Alabama on the 26th and travel to Little Rock on the 27th, and the others can stay as long as they like. I'm sure we'll be somewhat tired, but it's doable. Also, if the Paranormal Expo is dominated by ghost-chasing buffoons who actually believe they can detect ghosts with their ridiculous gadgets, we'll end up doing other things and should have time to rest.

I see that in this poll, a lot more people say they're unsure how she died. In the other poll, almost everyone blamed the Kennedys. No one knows for sure what happened, but I believe the Kennedys were involved because Joe DiMaggio, who was privy to information the average person didn't have, blamed the Kennedys and he snubbed Bobby Kennedy and refused to shake hands with him at Yankee Stadium.

I agree with some of what Kennedy says, like the school shooter psyho-drug connection, but I'd rather see him as Trump's running mate. And before any of you ask, no, the president and vice president do not have to belong to the same party. He could remain a Democrat and still run on the Republican ticket. But if he doesn't join the Trump ticket, he should choose Billy Joel's "You May Be Right" as his theme song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jo9t5XK0FhA You're right! The lame stream media and other Dims are calling him the "The Crackpot of Camelot," saying he's crazy, a lunatic, or whatever, so he should capitalize on it. Can you imagine how the Kennedy family and the "woke" liberals would react when he came on the stage at rallies or ran TV ads with
You may be right, I may be crazy, But it just might be a lunatic you're looking for,
playing in the background?

Why would the police have simply taken the word of this fat-assed pothead and his wife that they were in the Poconos when the murder happened without checking their alibi? It's a shame the woman, who had two children, was killed, but it wouldn't have happened if she and her husband weren't pot smokers. Nothing good ever comes of illicit drug use.

I seriously doubt she had a lobotomy, but if one was performed, it would have been for the pain, not because Peron -- even though he was a selfish bastard -- wanted to control her speech. She was more popular than he was, he was still benefiting from her popularity, and I don't think he would have risked killing her when he could have had the doctors achieve the same thing with drugs. Also, she had a mother, a brother and several sisters who were always around, so if Peron was doing something like having a secret lobotomy performed, they would have known and either told Evita or broadcast what he was doing to the public.
