I've known Edmond and his family since he was 18. I don't believe he could have done such a horrible thing! I've been intimately involved with him and he has NEVER shown a dark side nor any type of violence toward women. Yleen was his girlfriend at the time which explains his DNA being there. I think someone else did the killings and was able to hold it over Edmond at the time, thus explaining why he was forced to get rid of the evidence. I just don't think he could do what he's accused of. He's never talked about it to me, nor even mentioned the sisters' murders. I just pray the truth comes out... First, welcome to the group, goldstalk. It is so interesting that you actually knew, or know this man. I had something similar happen to me when I lived in Alaska in the 70's and 80's. Robert Hansen, the man that owned and operated a bakery, where we often went, and who sometimes talked with my uncle about hunting, turned out to be a serial killer, who had abducted at least 17 women and took them off in his airplane and hunted them like animals before raping and killing them. He probably killed a lot more women. His neighbors all liked him and when he was finally caught, no one could believe it, including his wife and children.
Have you thought about contacting Edmond Degan, wherever he's being held, to see what he has to say?

They do visit a lot of places that I'd like to visit on their Dark Shadows trips and I love reading their reports. I think that the old resort hotel last summer was the most interesting place that they've stayed. I also liked all the stories that they told about the Jekyll Island Resort where they stayed when they went to Georgia one year, but there's just something very mysterious about Maine, but that could be because I've never been there.

Maria Elena sued Peggy Sue Garron when she wrote Whatever Happened to Peggy Sue but it was published anyway. I read it a few years past and I don't believe everything in it, but I do believe she was telling the truth about Maria Elena and that Buddy Holly wasn't happy with her and talked about divorcing her.

They all sound good, but I'm still on my diet.

I don't now much about the Jersey Devil, but a monster stalking the night is fascinating and I'd like to know more.

I watched 48 Hours and I'm not sure if those two men killed the family or not, but it is strange that both of them just happened to not use their cell phones for the same 2-and-half hour period. But I'm also suspicious of the other man, Garcia, who people said wanted to date Becky and his cell phone pinged off of a tower near the home.

People have taken photos of Elvis' ghost at Graceland, so why was everyone so sure this was a real person and not a ghost?

Natalie, the way I read it is that she called for help as soon as she found him at 2:30, but his death wasn't announced until 4. I've read a lot of articles about what happened and I think that he was at the hospital for maybe a half an hour while the doctors were trying to revive him before they pronounced him dead at 3:30. It's too bad that she didn't check on him the first time she woke up.

People on drugs do all kinds of things that they wouldn't do if they were thinking straight and this happened in Hollywood. What bothers me about it is that he was naked and I've heard that people almost never commit suicide when they're naked.

That sick bitch deserved the death penalty because she is just as guilty as the sick SOB who raped and murdered that poor child.

This is an excellent suggestion. There are things I have questions about, but there's nowhere to ask them.

Thanks for posting these stories again. Awhile back, I tried to find them in the old group, but never did. Sandringham looks like it would be haunted.

This one is a puzzler. It's beyond strange that Hickock and Smith just happened to be where these murders happened, but didn't have anything to do with them. But from the evidence, I think that the murders were committed by someone who knew Christine Walker and targeted her. I agree that it is quite a coincidence that Hickock and Smith just happened to be nearby when these murders were committed, but coincidences DO happen. I also think that the killer shot Christine before he raped her and that's the reason that he wiped the blood off of her legs, so that he wouldn't get it all over him while he was raping her body.

Maybe she's waiting until after the holidays. Sites like this kind of go dead after Halloween and it will probably go dead again when it gets close to Christmas. I don't know all that much about the Jack the Ripper suspects, except what I've read here and in the old Yahoo groups, but I would be interested in seeing why the different men were suspected.

I'd also like to know why they didn't have a housekeeper. It isn't normal for people that age who can afford to hire a maid not to have one. Could there have been something in the house that they didn't want anyone to know about?
