This piece about the folklore of northeastern England is just as interesting as the one about northwestern England from a couple of years ago. Thank you! I trust there are more to come.

He's right. I'll bet it wasn't the police who decided to put up the cameras. It was probably some government agency like Homeland Security or the Dept. of Defense. I agree. When did the police ever install video cameras just because people said they were afraid of something, particularly something like extraterrestrials? There's a lot more to this story.

I read somewhere several years ago that the spirits known as “Radiant Boys” were the ghosts of young boys who were raped and murdered. Has anyone else heard this, or is it just some modern-day interpretation? Also does anyone know the other locations haunted by Radiant Boys? That’s a modern-day interpretation. Radiant Boys were believed to be the spirits of young boys killed by their mothers. One of the haunts of Chillingham Castle in Northumberland is a Radiant Boy.

Trolls are from the fairly realm, but it could have been something like a Bigfoot-type creature that dwells underground, or some kind of neanderthal-type human that's supposed to be extinct. He described whatever it was as 9-foot-tall and there's no way a 9-foot animal could survive undetected in such a densely populated area. England isn't like the United States, there are no huge forests where an animal -- even one that lived underground -- could exist. Whatever it was had to be a fairy, a spirit, or maybe some sort of elemental being.

After the airport shooting in 2017, Scott Israel knew his men (and women) weren't trained to respond to active shootings, but he did nothing about it. He didn't even require his deputies to attend active shooter training, but he required them to attend diversity training. He's the one who should be on trial for cowardice.

This old plantation house is a lot more interesting, and a lot more haunted, than The Myrtles yet, most people have never heard of it. When it comes to hauntings, advertising has more to do with ghost sightings than actual supernatural incidents. With the exception of the French governess in the green turban, which some owner later turned into “Chloe, the slave girl,” The Myrtles isn’t especially haunted. Now, all these ghostbusters report seeing a black woman in a green turban, even though the French governess was white. The story of the poisoning of Mrs. Woodruff and her daughters was also fabricated by the same owner. I don’t know all the particulars, but I understand Mrs. Woodruff and one daughter died of yellow fever and the other daughter lived to adulthood.
Destrehan, on the other hand, has some well-documented hauntings, but few know anything about it because it hasn’t been advertised. Most people who visit New Orleans to see and investigate ghosts never go to Destrehan because they’ve never heard of it.

If he had skin discoloration after being preserved for 24 years, his body must be gradually deteriorating. Nothing lasts forever, not even when preserved at -320 degrees. Assuming scientists are ever able to reanimate a frozen corpse and cure kidney cancer -- which is what killed him -- I think medicine would have advanced enough to take care of any discoloration from the freezing process. Personally, I don't think this will ever happen but if it did, I don't think the person revived would want to live in a world he knew nothing about.

This woman is completely delusional. Because of her past behavior, it seems she was determined to find a man behind bars, but why she would want to latch on to Kohberger is beyond my understanding. I’ve heard people say that women who write to and try to marry convicted murderers are like those women who own dangerous dogs like pit bulls. Their lives are so empty they think people will think they’re “special” if they can “tame” a dangerous animal, like a pit bull, or a dangerous man, like a convicted killer, and this Dr. Lieberman seems to agree:

When you did this story four years ago, I mentioned that another active ghost is that of Mary, Queen of Scots. If you have the time and you're interested in doing a similar article on Mary, I would be happy to help by providing some of the locations she is said to haunt.

I went to this pub many years ago and while I must have read this article when it was posted back in 2015, I somehow missed the part saying it had been demolished to build more council housing. It's too bad because it was a wonderful old pub with a lot of history.

Wonder how long it will be before the old pothead fails a drug test? A month in jail and 5 years probation is insufficient punishment. Not only did she try to destroy evidence, she knew her kid was a pothead and did nothing about it. She should lose custody of her other children because she is totally lacking in moral fiber and isn't fit to raise a dog, let alone a child. People are upset that she was allowed to enter a plea in exchange for 5 years' probation, because if she had raised him right and paid any attention to where he was and what he was doing, that girl wouldn't be dead. From what I hear, he didn't have a curfew and was free to party, walk the streets, or do anything else he wanted to do at all hours of the night.

He may be the lesser of the many evils in the Democratic party, but before anyone jumps on the bandwagon, I suggest they read “RFK Jr. and the Dark Side of the Dream.” Also, before anyone says, “But Trump did so and so,” Trump may be an SOB in many respects, but he never drove any of his wives, or the other women he dated, to commit suicide, and when it comes to womanizing, he can’t hold a candle to RFK Jr. When I re-read the article you linked, I remembered that we discussed this woman's suicide in our old Yahoo group. She may have had a problem with alcohol, but I doubt it was any worse than his problem with alcohol, and he knew trying to take her children away from her would drive her over the edge. Because of who he was, she probably thought she didn't stand a chance against him in court. I think he set out to destroy her.
Trump has his faults, as we all do, but he doesn't drink or use illegal drugs, and his children are all successful. The Kennedy descendants are a bunch of alcoholics, drug addicts and womanizers.

In Tennessee, we have a Bell Witch marker at the site of the old John Bell farm. A lot of people visit haunted sites and other mysterious places, and it's good to see that they're finally being recognized. There’s a sign at the site of the Betty and Barney Hill UFO “abduction” in New Hampshire.

This is a very good and well-researched article. Some of these roads, like those where “Melon Heads” eat teenagers, are just urban legends, but others have interesting backstories. I had never heard of the haunted road in Alabama or Devil Worshiper Road in Mississippi, or several others. You did a really good job of finding these obscure legends.

If there are any upcoming paranormal events in Alabama, Georgia or Mississippi, please let us know as soon as you find out. I went to a psychic fair years ago but I've never been to a ghost conference. I went to a ghost conference some years ago and it turned out to be a bunch of ghost-hunters (most of whom were overweight) in black T-shirts and baseball caps talking about what equipment they use to find ghosts and showing photos of the orbs -- which are nothing more than light refractions -- they had captured. There was nothing "ghostly" about it and I left long before it was over.
