I wouldn't have allowed my son to go to an event where there were Satanic and gender dysphoria Christmas trees when he was that age, or even when he was older.

It was late in the afternoon when we visited Yellowmead and I remember that when Jane and I were near the outer part of the farthest circle, I had a really weird feeling that someone was standing right behind me but when I turned around, no one was there. I would have liked to visit at night under a full moon, but since you have to walk through a sheep pasture to get to the circles, I guess it wouldn't be practical to try to find your way there after dark. I also had a weird feeling when we went to the circle called Long Meg and Her Daughters in Cumbria. Yellowmead was spooky. I remember getting a chill for no reason while we were there. I didn't feel anything at the Long Meg Circle, maybe because it was in the middle of the day.

With the exception of the "Robert the Doll" story from Key West, and I'm not sure when it started, I never heard of any haunted dolls until after the Chucky movie. Now, they're all over the place. How can people be so gullible? I've heard of a few cases of haunted dolls and other toys, but they are few and far between. There's a haunted stuffed animal mentioned in the article about The Dakota Apartments: Malone often visited the Smiths after they moved into Apt. 77. One day, he saw what he described as “an aura of lights” around a large, stuffed animal. On another occasion when the children were rolling around on the floor with the same toy, he casually remarked that the kids certainly enjoyed playing with the animal. “It’s very strange,” Gail Smith commented, “but at the other place where we lived before, the children would not play with that toy. It wasn’t until we moved to The Dakota that they have taken it up so enthusiastically.” Malone was convinced at least one of the specters in No. 77 had somehow entered the stuffed animal. whatliesbeyond.boards.net/thread/6066/dakota-apartments-where-dead-walk

This is worse than I imagined. I thought it would be something like strangulation during an attempted rape. This SOB is pure evil. There's something badly wrong with a man who kicks a woman in the face and bashes her head in with a cinderblock just because she says no.

Is Laurie Cabot still alive? If she is, she must be close to 90 by now.

I don't suppose there have been any updates to this girl's disappearance.

I have no intention of reading this book. Books written by victims or family members always suck because they go into too many personal matters that no one cares about. I agree. When you're personally involved, you can't be objective. When I read true crime, I like a narrative of the murder and to learn about everyone involved, not just someone's personal opinion.

I find it hard to believe that for a half-century, he didn't know about the "magic bullet." But I also find it disturbing that the Warren Commission never bothered to interview him. I suppose I don't know what to believe.

I'd love to visit the Baker's Island lighthouse. Does anyone know if there are any vacation cottages for rent on the island?

Now I don't know what to believe. I had always thought Marilyn and RFK were having an affair and that he was there the day she died. But people do claim things that aren't true just to feel important, and maybe that's what Mrs. Murray and her nephew did. Either that, or they were paid to change their stories. I'll bet they were both paid a lot of money for that BBC special, Say Goodbye to the President, which I haven't seen but would love to see.

Tomorrow will be the 97th anniversary of Valentino's death and I just Googled his name and the most recent write-up about him is from May, nothing at all about the anniversary. Do you suppose the same will be true of Elvis when he's been dead for 97 years?

I can understand why lawyers started leaving that firm and it went out of business. I wouldn't hire a law firm that allowed its lawyers to pull stunts like that. I'll bet they were the laughing stock of Toronto.

I had never heard of what's called The Caputo Effect, but it probably explains a lot of what people, especially teenagers, see when they're hunting ghosts, playing with the Ouija board, or whatever. I read somewhere once about a group of people who made up stories about a place being haunted and then it actually became haunted, but how much of the haunting was in their minds, I don't know.
