Black Man, Not Trump Supporters, Vandalized Jewish Cemetery In February 2017, more than 100 stones were toppled in a Jewish cemetery in St. Louis and the Southern Poverty Law Center and other leftist organizations and individuals blamed supporters of President Trump for the vandalism.
Police discovered a discarded jacket in Cheseld Shel Emeth Cemetery among the vandalized grave stones and DNA testing led them to 34-year-old Alzado Harris (inset), a black Democrat who vehemently denied ever supporting Donald Trump. He readily admitted to toppling the tombstones, but claimed he was drunk, high on marijuana and pissed off at a friend at the time and didn’t even know the dead buried there were Jewish.
Accordingly, Harris won’t be charged with a hate crime for the estimated $30,000 in damage to the cemetery, though he still faces up to seven years in prison on the charge of one count of institutional vandalism. “There is no evidence to indicate the incident was racially, ethnically or religiously motivated,” University City police confirmed in a news release.
Nevertheless, Karen Aroesty, regional director of the Anti-Defamation League, said it was still powerful to see how the people came together following the vandalism.Sources: Don Marten, Downtrend, April 28, 2018, and The Times of Israel, April 26, 2018.

The Trump supporters that I know aren't the kind of people who would vandalize a cemetery.
