On December 23rd, 1974, 3 girls went shopping at a mall in Fort Worth, TX and were never seen again. The day after they disappeared, one of the girls' husband received a letter claimed to be written by her, but even the FBI was unsure she actually wrote it. Since then, tons of theories have sprung up regarding their disappearances, from murder to abduction and more. The following video explains it more in detail. What do you all think happened? I didn't watch the video more than a few seconds because of the narrator's annoying speech impediment. However, I'm familiar with the case and because there's no trace of the girls and it's now been almost 50 years, it's probably safe to say it won't ever be solved, unless the bodies are found. The note from Rachel is suspicious, but a comparison of handwriting samples suggest she wrote it. Of course, if the kidnaper had forced her to write it, she would have been nervous, which would account for the correction of her name, or she may have deliberately made the mistake so people would know they were in trouble. They probably met some man who somehow talked them into getting into his car and he took them some place where he could rape them at leisure before killing them.

I watched a couple minutes of the video. I don't know if the narrator has a speech impediment or if he just isn't enunciating his words. Whatever his problem, he could benefit form voice lessons.

Back then, teenagers were a lot more mature and responsible than they are today and I think the two older girls would have had better sense than to get into the car with some strange man. Usually, when females get into a car with a stranger, it's because they're hitchhiking and these girls weren't hitchhiking. If the case is ever solved, I think it will turn out to be someone they knew.
