The closest to me is the Port Gamble Conference in Kingston, WA, which I thank Graveyardbride for letting me know about as soon as she found out the dates. From the website, though, it looks like it's going to be primarily ghost-hunting with all kinds of devices and like just about everyone else I've seen post on the subject in this group, I don't believe ghosts can be detected with meters and recorders.

However, I checked and instead of a nice dinner with ghost stories and interesting conversation, it’s going to be a bunch of ghost-hunters, probably in T-shirts and baseball caps, and like snowfairy, I’m not naïve enough to believe ghosts – which are supernatural – can be detected with silly gadgets.

I believe the closest to me would be the event in Pensacola, but Catherine, Serena and I are planning on going to the Paranormal Expo in Little Rock and we've already made hotel reservations. I'd also like to spend a couple of days at the Bell Witch Festival.

I'd love to go to a ghost event, but there aren't any close to me. Occasionally, there's a paranormal event in Savannah, but it's usually a bunch of ghost hunters who call themselves investigators. I like visiting haunted places and hearing the stories about the ghosts, but people who hunt ghosts with cameras, recorders and meters are just delusional.

If you decide to come, you won't be disappointed. The festival has something for everyone, and if you wait until close to Halloween, it can be very spooky.

I just noticed that there are only 143 views of these events. Is that because no one is all that interested in ghost/paranormal events, or that this post is under the wrong heading? Maybe more people would see it if it was in "Haunted News & Ghost Stories."
