Actor Armie Hammer Has a Taste for Human Ribs
What do you give a handsome young movie star scion of a rich and influential family? Well, in the case of Armie Hammer, the answer is ribs. But not just any ribs: Human ribs!
According to Paige Lorenze, Hammer’s former girlfriend, the actor is positively “demonic,” a man obsessed with graphic sexual fantasies – including cannibalism. Lorenze, 22, a model and student at Parsons School of Design in New York City, claimed Hammer swept her off her feet last September with his “charming” mannerisms and “sweet” compliments. But it wasn’t long before he introduced her to what she said was her first “polyamorous open relationship” involving BDSM (an acronym for a variety of sexual practices involving bondage, dominance and submission/sadomasochism). “Right away he definitely did get into things and had me do things that weren’t my norm,” she explained. “He wanted me to only call him ‘Sir’ or ‘Daddy’ in the bedroom. He’s obviously a very kinky person and he made that very clear to me, but I thought it was going to be fun and safe.”
However, when he began talking about smoking and eating her ribs, she had second thoughts. She told Star Magazine this started “pretty early on” and she found it disturbing. “He was talking about finding a doctor to remove my ribs that I don’t need – the ribs that are on the bottom – and that he had a smoker at his house. He wanted to smoke them and eat them. He wondered how they would taste and he basically was like, ‘I bet you they would taste good.’”
She also shared photographs of a scar in the shape of the letter “A” just above her groin area, which she said Hammer cut into her body with a knife. The cutting was “painful,” she added.
“His behavior definitely was cult-like,” Lorenze continued, claiming that in the beginning she believed Hammer’s “weird requests were normal.” Later, she realized BDSM acts could create what she called a “smokescreen for men,” she told a reporter “What I’ve been trying to make known, that this whole situation is a good picture of how BDSM and nonformative sexual practices can be a mask for men to hurt women.”
She insisted Hammer was serious about eating her ribs. “I think he really has a desire to hurt women,” adding that on one occasion, he brought around a “bag,” basically a “BDSM kit” containing “knives, rope, paddles, clothes pins ... he would use a wooden spoon – whatever he could get his hands on.”
She also alleged he was “really obsessed with biting and leaving marks on me and bruising me” and would “always brag” about her bruises and wanted her to “show them off.”
But despite her lover’s undisputed weirdness, which bordered on the dangerous, the 22-year-old, who is expected to receive her degree in media and design studies this spring, still accepted an invitation to spend Thanksgiving with Hammer and his family in Dallas, which led her to believe the film star was open to a “long-term” relationship.
Lorenze described Hammer’s family as “very, very Christian” and revealed his mother, Dru Ann Mobley, was concerned about her son. “His mother voiced concerns to me about him and his behavior and was worried for him,” Lorenze said. “They’ve probably seen a side of him that was scary, I’m guessing. She was saying that she felt he had lost touch with God.”
Then in early December, Lorenze claimed she began “to feel really sick to my stomach, anxious and very strange” about her relationship with Hammer and ended things via text message.
She insisted her decision to speak out was because she felt obligated to help other women who find themselves in similar situations. “I want to protect other women from this happening again and get more sex education circulating on these types of things,” she declared.
Needless to say, Hammer, star of the Italian coming-of-age film Call Me by Your Name, denied Lorenze’s allegations through his attorney, Andrew Brettler, who immediately issued the following statement:
“These assertions about Mr. Hammer are patently untrue. Any interactions with this person, or any partner of his, were completely consensual in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon and mutually participatory. The stories being perpetuated in the media are a misguided attempt to present a one-sided narrative with the goal of tarnishing Mr. Hammer’s reputation, and communications from the individuals involved prove that.”
This is to be expected. Hammer isn’t about to admit he has a taste for human flesh and it would be a tossup as to which was telling the truth if Lorenze’s were the only allegations against the handsome star.
Actually his problems started when a Twitter user, @houseofeffie, shared a series of screenshots of explicit Instagram messages Hammer allegedly sent between October 2016 and February 2020. In one of the communications, the star admits to having an interest in “drinking blood” and in another declares he’s “100% a cannibal.” There’s also a communication wherein he asks an unidentified woman: “If I wanted to cut off one of your toes and keep it with me in my pocket so I always had a piece of you in my possession?”
Jessica Ciencin Henriquez, who also claimed to have dated Hammer, is convinced the messages are genuine.
Then there’s the ex-girlfriend, Courtney Vucekovich, who dated Hammer for a few weeks in the summer of 2020: She quickly confirmed her former lover’s rib obsession in an interview with The Daily Mail, saying, “He was really into saying he wants to break one of your ribs and eat it. Like barbecue and eat it. In terms of the BDSM stuff, he made that pretty clear that it is something he is interested in very early on in the relationship and he referenced breaking my ribs often.” She also shared a letter he allegedly left with the concierge at her apartment building that included the comment: “I am going to bite the fuck out of you.”
Vucekovich then addressed Hammer’s alleged “master and slave” fetish. “He was very much into saying ‘slave’ and ‘you’re just there for me at my discretion.’ Of, course,” she insisted, “I wasn’t doing that, but he does like that idea of somebody being there solely for him.
“I was being groomed and brilliantly manipulated to do things that frankly scared me,” she continued. “I’m a consenting adult, but it wasn’t me. He is good at what he does and knows just what to say to get you to comply. He is a very dark, twisted person.” Nonetheless, she resisted, adding, “If I had a little cut on my hand, he’d like suck it or lick it. That’s about as weird as we got.”
In addition to his desire to remove and eat women’s ribs, drink blood, cut off toes and engage in BDSM, @houseofeffie revealed what she called Hammer’s “obsession” with raw meat. It seems he relished sharing photos depicting slabs of uncooked meat and pigs’ heads (above) and in an old interview, recounted eating “an entire raw steak.”
In July, Elizabeth Chambers, Hammer’s wife of 10 years, announced she and her husband were splitting and would be seeking a divorce. The pair have two children, Harper Grace, 5, and Ford Douglas, 3, both of whom are living, and attending school, in the Cayman Islands.
Hammer grew up in Dallas and the Caymans. “My dad saw the movie The Firm and he thought it looked like paradise,” Hammer said of his father’s decision to move his family to the Caribbean.
Before he began acting, Hammer attended UCLA, but admitted, “I just couldn’t do it.” There are reports he was expelled for starting a fire and his two semesters at the university consisted of signing up for extension courses he never took.
He started out acting on television and landed guest spots on Arrested Development and Desperate Housewives prior to his recurring role on Gossip Girl in 2009. Also in 2009, Hammer was included in “Fortune’s Children,” a Vanity Fair spread featuring 38 heirs and heiresses, including Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
Later, Hammer landed the role of the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network, however, the films The Lone Ranger and The Man from U.N.C.L.E., that were expected to catapult him to the top of his profession, flopped. His latest role was that of Maxim de Winter in the lackluster remake of Daphne du Maurier’s Gothic novel Rebecca.
In July 2019, Hammer horrified friends and fans alike when he shared a video of his 2-year-old son sucking his father’s toe. The clip (which has been deleted) was posted under the hastag: “foot fetish on fleek” about which Hammer wrote: “this happened for a solid 7 minutes.”
