Mollie Tibbetts Murdered by Illegal Alien The suspect in the murder of Mollie Tibbetts (right) is a 24-year-old illegal alien from Mexico who has been living in and around Poweshiek County for at least seven years. Cristhian Bahena-Rivera (left) was apprehended today. The 20-year-old University of Iowa student went missing Wednesday, July 18. She was last seen jogging near Brooklyn.
A body believed to be that of the missing girl was discovered earlier today after Bahena led authorities to the location. According to Rick Rahn of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the corpse was found hidden in a cornfield beneath several corn stalks.
The suspect told law enforcement he approached Tibbetts while she was running. “He actually tells us that he ran alongside of her or behind her,” Rahn explained. “And then at one point, he tells us that Mollie grabbed ahold of her phone and says ‘You need to leave me alone, I’m gonna call the police.’ And then she took off running. He, in turn, chased her down. And then he tells us that at some point in time he blacks out and then he comes to near an intersection in which we believe he then placed Mollie.”
Bahena told investigators he became angry when Tibbetts took out her cellphone, according to court documents obtained by The Associated Press. He then claimed he panicked and “blocked” his memory. The suspect alleged he didn’t remember what happened next, but later realized he had put the young woman into his truck after finding an earpiece from headphones in his lap. He then opened the trunk and noticed blood on the side of her head. “A first-degree murder charge was filed today in connection with the disappearance of Mollie Tibbetts,” Rahn added.
Following the illegal Mexican’s arrest, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged a detainer with the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office on the suspect.
With the help of surveillance video obtained from an individual living in the area where Tibbetts was abducted, law enforcement was able to identify a vehicle belonging to the suspect, Rahn advised. Investigators saw Tibbetts on the video and realized Bahena “was one of the last ones to see Mollie running,” he said.
Rahn declined to provide many details concerning the girl’s murder, citing the ongoing investigation and the fact the body had yet to be formally identified. He did confirm investigators had talked to hundreds of people and received more than 4,000 tips, but the break in the case came within the last two weeks when they found someone with a security camera system while canvassing a neighborhood. The videos captured images of Tibbetts running and a black Chevrolet Malibu that investigators traced to Bahena.
The alien was interviewed at length Monday and admitted seeing Tibbetts and explained how he pursued her. “He was very compliant,” Rahn added. “He was willing to talk to us. There was no fight or struggle of any kind.” Rahn confirmed Bahena led officials to the girl’s body following the interview. He added that officials believe Bahem was, or is, employed, but declined to specify how or with whom. The suspect’s bond has been set at $1 million.
At a rally in West Virginia tonight, President Trump appeared to reference the case and the arrest of the illegal alien. “You saw what happened to that beautiful, incredible young woman. Should have never happened. Illegally in our country,” he commented. “The immigration laws are such a disgrace. We’re getting them changed.”
Vice President Pence wrote on Twitter: “Heartbroken by the news about Mollie Tibbetts. We commend the swift action by local, state, & federal investigators working in Iowa in apprehending an illegal immigrant, who’s now charged with first-degree murder.”
In Iowa, Governor Kim Reynolds released a statement in which she said: “As Iowans, we are heartbroken, and we are angry. We are angry that a broken immigration system allowed a predator like this to live in our community, and we will do all we can bring justice to Mollie’s killer.”
The broad contours of Tibbetts’s death are reminiscent of the 2015 murder of Kate Steinle, a 32-year-old San Francisco woman who was shot and killed by José Ines Garcia Zarate, another illegal Mexican who had been deported five times.
Mollie Tibbetts was born in San Francisco and moved with her mother to Brooklyn, Iowa, when she was in second grade. She won state speech competitions, was involved in theater and ran cross-country. She was pursuing a degree in psychology.Sources: Nicole Darrah and Katherine Lam, Fox News, August 21, 2018; Nick Miroff, Eli Rosenberg and Cleve R. What a shame. That poor girl died a horrible death all because the Democrats won't agree to deport those drug-transporting, criminal rapists. President Trump was right when he called them rapists and I'll bet Mollie Tibbetts isn't the first girl that worthless POS has raped and murdered.

Killer Worked on Local Farm, May Have Been Stalking Tibbetts
According to The Des Moines Register, Cristhian Bahena-Rivera was employed by Yarrabee Farms, which is located less less than three miles from where Mollie Tibbetts was staying. A review of documents listed several owners, including Diane and Eric Lang, both relatives of Craig Lang, who owns a dozen property deeds in Brooklyn, Iowa, and once ran for secretary of agriculture.
David Lang confirmed Bahena had worked at Yarrabee for several years, was an “employee in good standing” and that he was cleared for employment through E-Verify, despite the fact he was an illegal immigrant. The system is intended to maintain a database of I-9 forms and tax records of employees across the country. “This is a profoundly sad day for our community,” Lang said. “All of us at Yarrabee Farms are shocked to hear that one of our employees was involved and is charged in this case. On Monday, the authorities visited our farm and talked to our employees. We have cooperated fully with their investigation.”
Ms. Tibbetts’ body was found yesterday near 460th Avenue and Highway 21 in a cornfield owned by Jeff Bayer. According to Bahena, he dragged the girl from the trunk of his car, hoisted her on his shoulder, carried her approximately 65 feet into the field and covered the corpse with corn stalks. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
During a press conference yesterday, authorities told reporters Bahena had seen Tibbetts before, but declined to confirm whether he had been stalking the young woman.

That SOB should be taken out and strung up. Now they're saying that he was using someone else's ID and Social Security card to work. If there are any other missing or murdered women in that part of Iowa, the police should be looking at him. There's no telling how many he's killed.

He probably killed some man for the ID that he was using.

Killer Stalked At Least Two Other FemalesPrior to Mollie Tibbetts’ disappearance, Cristhian Bahena-Rivera followed another woman in his car. According to Radar Online, a man named Justin, who lives in a mobile home park on the outskirts of Brooklyn, Iowa, said the 24-year-old accused killer may have followed his fiancée. “He followed my girlfriend twice – in the same exact black Malibu,” Justin explained. “I remember her calling me when she noticed how slow he was driving by in circles, turning around the block to keep up with her several times on her walk home.” He said the incident occurred around sunset as his fiancée made her way home from a grocery store. Justin indicated someone driving a black car “drove past her about six times,” then continued to circle around the neighborhood after she arrived home. “It makes you wonder if Mollie was his only victim,” he added.
Betsy Gibson, a local teenager, revealed that Bahena also followed her sister in the same Iowa town. She didn’t think anything of it at the time, but after Mollie Tibbetts’ death, she finds his pursuit of her sister frightening. “She told me that a little while ago, he drove up to her while she was walking through Brooklyn. He told her she was really pretty and things like that,” Gibson related. “In the end, she was really creeped-out by his behavior. She had to keep telling him she wasn’t interested.”
Gibson admitted Bahena wasn’t a stranger to her 17-year-old sibling and it wasn’t their first encounter. Gibson knew him, too. “I know Cristhian from my sister,” she said. “She [the sister] thought he was a nice, well-spoken person. They hung out a few times, but nothing really happened romantically. It was more flirty than sexual, but my sister is very shy. She didn’t appreciate it. Even though she knew him a little, she felt unsafe and didn’t want to talk to him.”
Bahena is currently in jail on a $5 million cash-only bond. His next scheduled court appearance is August 31.
* * * On August 12, a 35-year-old illegal alien in Shakopee, Minnesota, stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death. Fraider Diaz-Carbajal, also a Mexican, had reentered the United States after an earlier deportation. After murdering the woman, he stabbed himself. A witness told police she saw him slash his own throat and stab himself several times. He was initially hospitalized following arrest and listed in critical condition. ICE officials have already placed an immigration detainer on the man.

Tibbetts Stabbed to Death, Knew Mother of Killer's Child
Cristhian Bahena-Rivera, the 24-year-old killer of Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts, has a daughter and the mother and Tibbetts both attended the same high school. Iris Monarrez, the killer’s ex-girlfriend, attended Brooklyn, Guernsey and Malcom High School in Brooklyn, Iowa, and was one year ahead of Tibbetts.
Monarrez and Bahena met in 2013 and she gave birth to a daughter not long thereafter. The two lived together for about a year before separating. Officials said Monarrez connected him to the job at Yarrabee Farms, where he worked before his arrest. She attended the preliminary hearing this week and was seen in the court room, holding her 3-year-old daughter.
The woman’s Facebook page lists Tibbetts as a “friend,” but graduating classes are small, no more than approximately 40 members, so it isn’t unusual for people to “friend” classmates who weren’t actually friends.
Tibbetts Died of ‘Sharp Force Injuries.’ A preliminary report revealed Tibbetts’ cause of death was “sharp force injuries,” meaning the killer stabbed her to death.
Bahena communicated with law enforcement officers through a translator. If convicted of first-degree murder, he faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison because Iowa does not have the death penalty.
President Trump says the mainstream media lost interest in the murder of Mollie Tibbetts after her killer was identified as an illegal immigrant.

Defendant Requests Change of Venue to County with Higher Minority Population
Attorneys for Christian Bahena-Rivera filed a change of venue motion Friday arguing that existing tensions and opinions in Poweshiek County – where the crime occurred, Tibbetts grew up and the accused killer lived and worked at a dairy farm – will make it difficult for him to have a “fair and impartial trial,” the Des Moines Register reported. The attorneys requested the court select a county with more of a minority representation for the jury pool. “Without venue where a minority population is substantially represented, [the defendant] cannot be fairly tried and any jury pool chosen will have to be stricken,” the motion reads. The trial is scheduled to begin September 3.
The racial makeup of Poweshiek County is approximately 95% white, 1.5% black and 3.5% Latino, with the remaining 2% comprised of Asian, American Indian, Native Hawaiian, etc. The illegal Mexican, 24, pled not guilty to murder charges in September, approximately a month after Tibbetts’ body was located in a cornfield around 12 miles southeast of Brooklyn, Iowa. The 20-year-old college student vanished on July 18 while jogging in her hometown.

Hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars will be wasted to try and convict that illegal son-of-a-bitch, then hundreds of thousands more taxpayer dollars will be wasted to feed, shelter and clothe him for the rest of his worthless life. Iowa doesn't have the death penalty. As soon as he admitted murdering that girl, he should have had his balls cut off and then taken out and lynched.

Illegal Mexican Snatched Mollie Tibbetts Because She was ‘Hot’
Cristhian Bahena-Rivera, 24, who has been charged for the murder of University of Iowa sophomore Mollie Tibbetts, told authorities he spotted the 20-year-old during her routine jog and decided to snatch her because she was “hot.” Initially, the illegal alien denied having seen the young woman, but then admitted being present and that he was attracted to her.
Tibbetts’ disappearance received international attention after authorities at both the state and federal levels searched for the missing girl, who vanished July 18, 2018, while jogging in her hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa. Her remains were found three days later on August 21, after Bahena led investigators to a cornfield where he dumped her body. Prior to stalking, abducting and murdering Tibbetts, Bahena had stalked other young women. “He followed my girlfriend twice in the same exact black Malibu,” a neighbor said. “I remember her calling me when she noticed how slow he was driving by in circles, turning around the block to keep up with her several times on her walk home.”
A document filed by Poweshiek County Attorney Bart Klaver and Assistant Attorney General Scott Brown indicates DNA analysis of the blood found in the trunk of the Malibu the farm laborer was driving was that of the slain student. On August 15, investigators viewed surveillance video from a residence that showed “a black Chevy Malibu with distinctive features” in the area. The following day, a deputy sheriff contacted Bahena after spotting a vehicle matching the description of that in the video.
The document also refutes the defense team’s argument that Bahena’s Constitutional rights were violated because of a language barrier. Investigators were able to effectively communicate with the suspect when he was initially questioned at Yarrabee Farms, at which time he gave police permission to search both the Malibu and a Nissan Altima he was driving on August 20. One of the officers spoke with the suspect in Spanish and interpreted for the others. Additionally, Pamela Romero and Jeff Fink of the Iowa City police said they both interviewed Bahena in Spanish at the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office. His rights were not read to him at this point because he wasn’t in custody and was told he was free to leave at any time.
In fact, Bahena, who is being held at the Poweshiek County Jail under a $5 million cash bond, has swindled taxpayers out of $8 thousand for an interpreter. According to court documents: “Jail staff have reported that the Defendant communicates effectively in both English and Spanish. When having conversations with the Defendant in English, he appears to clearly understand the conversation and is able to appropriately participate and communicate with jail staff who do not speak Spanish.”
During the investigative phase of the case, Bahena revealed he had been working in the United States for four years and had been employed by English-speaking business owners during most of that time. While at the sheriff’s office, he was questioned by a federal agent via telephone concerning his immigration status, after which he was read his Miranda rights in Spanish and told he was suspected of being in the country illegally. Bahena then waived his right to an attorney and continued talking with law enforcement. One of Bahena’s attorneys, Chad Frese, told the Des Moines Register his client was “Mirandized” nine to 10 hours into the interview at the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office in Montezuma.
The state also maintains that police would have eventually discovered the body of Mollie Tibbets without Bahena’s assistance. According to the document: “Mollie Tibbetts’ body was located in an open farm field. Although at the time the field was covered in July corn, that would not always be the case. Once the corn was harvested from the field, the remains of Mollie Tibbetts and her clothing would have been readily visible.”
A change of venue has been granted in the case and the trial is set to begin Tuesday, September 3, in Woodbury County at Sioux City. Sources: Gage Miskimen, The Des Moines Register, May 31, 2019, and Radar, May 31, 2019.

I agree with Catherine. That Mexican beast should have been lynched. If President Trump had his way, we wouldn't be having to deal with these uncivilized brutes. We've got enough uncivilized brutes of our own, we don't need any refuse from south of the border.

Illegal Alien Killer’s Trial Scheduled to Begin Monday, May 17
The trial of Cristhian Bahena Rivera, 26, the illegal alien who stalked, kidnaped and killed 20-year-old Mollie Tibbets in July 2018, is scheduled to begin tomorrow.
Although the accused led investigators to the young student’s corpse, which he dumped in a cornfield, he claimed he “blacked out” and could not recall the details of the murder. He is charged with first degree murder and could face life in prison without parole if convicted. Iowa does not have the death penalty. Defense attorneys claim his confession was coerced.
Born in Mexico, Bahena was in the country illegally and employed by Yarabee Farms under the name John Budd.
The trial, which has been delayed several times, is being held in Scott County and will start with jury selection, which some believe could be difficult because the murder has been reported throughout the nation. According to Professor James Tomkovicz of the University of Iowa, potential jurors will be asked if they have heard of the case and if answered in the affirmative, they will be asked if they have formed opinions. “And you know if they say they’ve formed views and they can’t put those aside and listen to the evidence and decide based on that, then they’re not, they’re going to be disqualified for cause,” he added.

Boyfriend and Brother Testify, Defense Questions Them about HuntingAs the murder trial of illegal alien Christian Bahena-Rivera (above) opened this morning (May 19), Prosecutor Bart Klaver addressed the men and women of the jury, telling them the defendant admitted to investigators he saw Molly Tibbetts running along the street and circled back to take a second look because she was “hot.” He subsequently exited the car he was driving and commenced running alongside the 20-year-old college student, becoming angry when she spurned his advances and threatened to call the police. Then he claimed his mind went blank and the next thing he remembered was driving with the young woman’s beaten and bloodied body in the trunk. When he came to a cornfield, he pulled over, hoisted the corpse over his shoulder and deposited it in the field. Klaver also told jurors they would see Bahena circling Tibbetts on a neighbor’s surveillance video. The autopsy, the prosecutor continued, revealed Mollie Tibbets had been stabbed 12 times in the chest, ribs, neck and skull and died from the sharp force wounds.
First witnesses for the prosecution were Dalton Jack, 23, the deceased’s boyfriend, now an army sergeant assigned to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and his brother, Blake. Jack said he and Tibbetts met in high school and had been dating three years. Recalling July 18, 2018, he told the jury he and his brother, both of whom were working in construction at the time, were out of town and Mollie was staying at the house looking after the dogs. He said she went for a run most days. On the day of his girlfriend’s disappearance, Jack testified he was a member of a crew building a bridge in Dubuque, Iowa, and when the work day ended, he hung out with his co-workers drinking beer and playing games, after which he returned to the hotel and went to bed. The following day, July 19, Mollie didn’t turn up for work at a daycare and wasn’t answering her phone.
There was some indication the defense may attempt to cast suspicion on Dalton Jack. When Jennifer Frese, one of Bahena’s lawyers, spoke, she alleged Jack had anger issues and cheated on Tibbetts. She also told the jury the brothers were hunters and there were guns and knives in their home. During her cross-examination of Blake Jack, she asked what type weapons they owned and if he believed his brother had anger problems. Blake testified he and Dalton hunted deer and turkeys and both owned knives. He also told the defense attorney he wasn’t aware his brother had any problems with anger or in his relationship with Tibbetts. Blake further testified when he returned home the day Tibbetts disappeared, he didn’t notice anything amiss. “We don’t lock the doors in our small town,” he added. Has anyone else ever noticed how foreigners always put on this "I'm so innocent" act when they get caught? This worthless POS should have been lynched as soon as he was caught. Everything President Trump ever said about these losers is true. We produce enough rapists, murderers, drug dealers and other criminals of our own, we don't need more slithering in from Mexico.

ME Testifies, State Rests, Judge Denies Defense Motion for Acquittal
On Monday, May 24, one of the final witnesses was Dennis Klein, M.D., state medical examiner. According to Klein, the body of Mollie Tibbetts had lain in the cornfield covered in cornstalks “quite some time” and because of advanced decomposition, he was unable to obtain useful blood or fingerprint evidence during autopsy.
During the ME’s testimony, jurors viewed autopsy photos depicting sharp-force trauma. Klein said there were at least nine, and possibly a dozen, stab wounds, including six to the torso and one to the right hand, a defensive wound incurred while she was attempting to fend off her assailant. The cause of death, he said, was multiple stab wounds and the manner of death was homicide. Toxicology tests, he added, did not detect any drugs or alcohol in victim’s body.
Defense attorney Chad Frese asked if Klein could tell the attacker’s position in relation to the victim and he said he could not. He further testified all wounds were consistent with a single knife, but he could not rule out multiple weapons.
Following conclusion of the state’s case, defense attorney Jennifer Frese moved for a judgment of acquittal, indicating the state had failed to prove the element of premeditation or specific intent to kill required for a conviction of first-degree murder, or “malice aforethought” as required in the lesser charge of second-degree murder.
Judge Joel Yates denied the motion and dismissed the jury, instructing them to return at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday.
