Oregon Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Black MareKenneth Lijah Duyck (above), 20, whom a complainant described as a “homeless-looking” man, has been arrested for sexually assaulting a black mare in Hillsboro, Oregon.
The investigation started on April 19 when deputies responded to a suspicious circumstance call at a home in the 200 block of Northwest 334th Avenue. The homeowner said she went out to her horse stables and found one of her horses “tied up in an unusual way” and noticed various items had been moved around, but nothing appeared to have been stolen. Of note, a bucket had been turned over on which it is assumed the man stood while assaulting the mare. The owner told deputies she had received a call the previous day from a man who identified himself as “Duyck,” asking if he could camp on her property. She also saw a strange man talking to neighbors around the time the incident occurred.
On Tuesday, April 24, deputies found Duyck sleeping in a car in a Walmart parking lot in Cornelius. Initially, he told investigators he broke into the stable looking for work, but finally admitted sexually assaulting the black mare named Ellie.
He was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on suspicion of sexual assault of an animal and second-degree burglary.
