Paranormal State Star: ‘Demons Could Have Given Me Cancer’Paranormal State star Ryan Buell has been in remission from pancreatic cancer and is now speaking about his experience, which he believes may have stemmed from a demonic encounter. Buell also noted that he began to turn around and heal once he understood the idea of loss and having faith.
After becoming famous for dealing with the demonic on Paranormal State, Buell was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the young age of 29. He became incredibly ill and was, at one point, very close to death. He went through multiple treatments, but didn’t begin truly feeling well until March of this year, when he had yet another surgery. “It just felt right,” Buell told People magazine. “I just felt like, it’s time for this to be done with, it’s time for me to turn a chapter and have some happiness. An older gentleman, Charles, who was in his early 60s – we met him through Paranormal State – was a former priest, and he became like an uncle. He talked to me about how ... having faith means accepting loss sometimes and just knowing it’s going to be okay. Faith isn’t when you keep getting rewards over and over again,” he continued. “Having faith is making peace with the fact that you may die, but you know it's gonna be okay. He ended up passing away… so my fight was for him and my family. Maybe faith is accepting loss and death.”
Buell, who is no stranger to the battle between good and evil, believes the demonic may have contributed to the cancer to prevent him from doing the good he wanted to. However, knowing the demonic could have contributed only encouraged him to fight harder. “And if they [demons] can do everything, including deciding to kill me, which is also beyond my control, I’m not going to stop suddenly doing this work. I have thought about that and people have asked me things like, ‘Aren’t you afraid that demons are going to attack you?’ But I just choose not to worry about that because then I give them power,” he explained.Source: Sami K. I think he's just saying this for the publicity. No one could really believe that a demon could cause cancer. Who believes in demons anyway?

You and several others from What Lies Beyond have said that they didn't believe he had Pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately I am beginning doubt it myself. He has kept very busy, except for a few missed appearances. As much as I don't want him to have it, I would hope no one would fake something so serious as Pancreatic Cancer just for publicity. If he did this, I will no longer be a fan of his. Demons my butt!

A demon? Please, I don't believe that for a minute. So all people who have cancer have been attacked by a demon?

I've known a lot of folks who had cancer and they all lost a lot of weight and this man just doesn't look like anyone I've ever seen with cancer. Maybe they're just not posting photos of him showing how sick he is, but I've always thought that pancreatic cancer was fatal. The actor Patrick Swayze, who was in Ghost had pancreatic cancer and he was nothing but skin and bones when he died.

For a while, Ryan Buell did look sickly. He posted photos on his FB page of himself. He was bald and very thin and pale. That all could have been fake though. In his latest photos, he looks just fine. I'm half expecting that when Paranormal State comes back on, he is going to say that he defeated the demons and the cancer is gone now.

What ever happened to this scam artist? He faked having cancer, then he scammed people out of their money and was arrested. What was the outcome? Is he in prison where he belongs?

What ever happened to this scam artist? He faked having cancer, then he scammed people out of their money and was arrested. What was the outcome? Is he in prison where he belongs? Last I saw, he was in some kind of court ordered in-patient drug rehab facility. According to he and his family and friends, all that craziness stemmed from a serious drug addiction. He looks absolutely terrible...like the walking dead. He was posting live videos to Facebook from there for a while. As he was talking on one of his first broadcasts, at times his eyes would nearly roll back into his head and he seemed to nearly lose consciousness. He is a serious mess! I have not seen anything from him lately though, other than the occasional tweet on Twitter.

His own mother wrote on Facebook and elsewhere that he is ill, but not from cancer. She pleaded with the public to stop buying things from him, and to stop supporting him in any monetary way because it is only enabling him.

What ever happened to this scam artist? He faked having cancer, then he scammed people out of their money and was arrested. What was the outcome? Is he in prison where he belongs? He was arrested again last year for assaulting his boyfriend:State College man faces new charges after alleged fight with boyfriendSTATE COLLEGE, Penn. – Former television personality Ryan D. Buell has found himself in additional trouble with the law after a reported altercation. Buell, 35, was arrested Friday following a fight at his residence, State College police said. Host of the paranormal reality show Paranormal State, Buell was previously arrested on theft charges in September 2016. A non-jury trial for the theft charges is slated for May 18.
According to the affidavit, an officer responded around 7:20 p.m. Friday to the 400 block of Waupelani Drive to a call indicating Buell had possibly taken an overdose. At the scene, however, the officer was made aware of a domestic violence situation between Buell and his boyfriend. The man said when he arrived home, he and Buell had gotten into an argument and as the confrontation escalated, Buell reportedly scratched the man’s face. When he pushed Buell in response, Buell bit his finger. Officers observed a “deep bite” on the man’s finger that penetrated the fingernail. There were also scratches on the left side of the boyfriend’s face and neck.
When interviewed, Buell said he and the man had an argument, but that he didn’t remember any physical altercation, police reported.
Buell was arraigned Saturday before District Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker, according to court documents, and charged with a misdemeanor count of simple assault and a summary charge of harassment. Straight bail was set at $25,000. Source: Jeremy Hartley, The Centre Daily News, April 24, 2017. I couldn't find anything online about the outcome of the case.

Why are so many of these professional ghostbusters queer? That other one, Zak Bagans, the one April thinks is a hunk, is queer, too.
