Hooded Hair-Cutter Attacks British Witch
SMALLTHORNE, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, U.K. – Susan Rushton (above) suffered a terrifying ordeal when a hooded man burst into her garden and cut off clumps of her hair. The 55-year-old was letting her dogs out in the back garden of her home when she was targeted by the attacker. Police and paramedics were called to the Zamenhof Grove property at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, December 16.
Now she has shaved off her hair and is struggling to sleep at night. “I was in the back garden when I was suddenly pushed to the floor and a person was pulling my hair out,” she says. “I tried to get up and slipped, but I saw loads of my hair on the floor. I don’t know for sure why this happened. Everything goes through your head when something like this happens.”
Rushton believes her interest in witchcraft may have something to do with the attack. “I’ve only recently got into witchcraft and have pentagram tattoos,” she adds. “I share a lot of witchcraft pictures on Facebook and I enjoy a lot of things about it. Part of being a witch is believing in karma and that people get what they deserve.”
Ruston, who has epilepsy, lives with her 65-year-old husband, Steven, in a council bungalow, is now contemplating applying for a housing transfer. “If we stay here I am frightened the attacker might come back. I don’t know who he is. It has completely spoilt Christmas and I am kept awake every time I hear a noise.”
Neighbor Patricia O’Brien, 73, says: “This is disgusting. It is shocking that someone could do that to a woman in her own garden. I really hope she is okay and that they find the man responsible.”
