Visiting ghost hunters mistaken for burglarsGETTYSBURG, Penn. – Police are investigating a complaint concerning a ghost hunt that an officer initially thought was a burglary in progress Thanksgiving night, leading to tourists and a tour guide being held at gunpoint and handcuffed inside a historic building. At 10:08 p.m., Patrolman Thomas Knaper reported that he was passing Servant's Old Tyme Photos, 237 Steinwehr Avenue, when he saw the front door of the business closing and then "a flashlight being used inside" when no other lights were on. We used to make jokes about that happening when we would show up real late at night at a clients house with flashlights in hand. We figured one of the neighbors might get worried and call the police. One time we were outdoors at night in a public recreation area and someone in the adjacent neighborhood actually did call the cops. We were not breaking any laws or being disruptive so the cop was cool about it, and actually suggested some spots he had heard were haunted.
