Underwater UFO Base off California Coast
In a video uploaded to YouTube, Preston Dennett, a research expert with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), presents evidence that purportedly proves there are underwater UFO bases distributed around the world. The documentary, however, gives special attention to an alleged massive underwater UFO base off the Southern California Coast.
Dennett’s field work, spanning three decades, makes him an expert in a special category of UFOs called Unidentified Submerged Objects (USOs). He is recognized widely as an authority in this field, having published articles in Fate Magazine, Atlantis Rising, Mysteries Magazine, UFO Magazine and MUFON’s UFO Journal. He has also appeared on several radio and TV programs, including a documentary on the History Channel that focused on USOs, and has given several lectures across the country.
His interest in UFOs and related paranormal phenomena dates back to 1986 when some close relatives, friends, and colleagues at work in California reported strange encounters no one could explain. He began interviewing people and was shocked to discover that hundreds of people in his locality had also experienced strange UFO sightings and related paranormal phenomena. Following several media appearances, he began receiving reports from witnesses who had previously never spoken about their experiences. The massive feedback from readers and viewers led him to conduct even more extensive investigations, and after interviewing hundreds of new witnesses and accumulating an impressive mass of evidence, he realized the Southern California Coast was indisputably the most active area in the world for undersea UFO or USO activity. Evidence from additional investigations finally forced Dennett to conclude there was a major, massive underwater UFO or USO base around California’s Santa Catalina Channel.
He presents the documented evidence, including eyewitness testimonies and photos, in the new YouTube video. He also presents evidence of an alleged government coverup of information about the underwater UFO base.
He has met several witnesses who reported sighting UFOs flying out to sea and others flying toward the shore from the sea. A disproportionate number of these reports came from the California coastline, from Santa Barbara on the central California coast to Long Beach in Los Angeles County in Southern California. The region has, since the 1940s, acquired a reputation as a UFO hotspot, with hundreds of reports of sightings of UFOs flying over the ocean and USOs going underwater. Dennett also studied the reports of previous researchers and was surprised to learn there were similar cases in the past with one researcher noting the coastline of Southern California and Santa Catalina Island registered the highest frequency of sightings since the 1940s.
Other researchers observed that sightings were so common along the Southern California Coast that by the 1960s, entire families would go down to the beach to see UFOs and often, they weren’t disappointed. By the 1970s, tourists were visiting the beach at Point Dume at night to view multi-colored UFOs taking off and landing in the water. A MUFON investigator noted that USOs were often seen coming out of and entering the water off the Palos Verdes Peninsula and the San Pedro Channel.
The frequency of the sightings suggested there was a single massive underwater UFO base or several smaller bases in waters off the coast of Southern California, specifically in the Santa Catalina Channel. The researcher also suggested the government was aware of the sightings, but was covering up the information because of fear of the potential social and political impact.
In the video uploaded to YouTube by the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) April 3, 2016, Dennett presents the evidence underlying his conclusions and evidence of a government cover-up.
Allegations there is a massive underwater UFO base off the coast of California, the so-called “Malibu anomaly” about six miles off the coast of Point Dume at Google Earth coordinates 34° 1’23.31?N 118° 59’45.64?W, have been around for several years. The underwater anomaly, thought to be an alien UFO base, consists of a mysterious flat-topped structure supported by columns and pillars, believed to be the entrance to the underground UFO or USO base.
According to Dennett, the June 14, 1992, sightings in Topanga Canyon, California, during which hundreds of independent witnesses reported observing hundreds of mysterious UFO crafts in the Santa Monica Mountains, appear to have triggered a massive wave of reports that included sightings of strange metallic flying crafts, mysterious lights, USOs, abductions and reports of encounters with alien beings. On a particularly busy night, more than 200 craft were seen.
Those reporting seeing the phenomena included beach-goers, surfers, fishermen, sailors, and military personnel. Many reported sighting squadrons of cigar-, orb-, and saucer-shaped UFOs performing complex maneuvers in broad daylight. One incident was witnessed by a crowd at Redondo Beach in Los Angeles County. Those present reported seeing a large glowing UFO that landed on the water and as the crowd, which included a night watchman, lifeguard and police officers – looked on as it sank beneath the waves.
There were reports from fisherman, Navy personnel and boaters that their vessels were rammed or almost hit by mysterious USOs, initially mistaken for Russian submarines. But subsequent detailed descriptions of the attacking objects raised doubts. The witnesses often noticed they moved at very high speed and lacked a wake and sound. The Soviets had no such crafts.
Other witnesses reported alien encounter and some described the unearthly beings as “strange-looking men” coming out of UFOs. It was said they had yellowish-green skin, wore black leather pants, white belts and light-colored jerseys. During one encounter, the strange men walked up to the witness and appeared to ask questions in a language the witness could not understand.
