The painting isn't even all that good. Why would anyone pay that much for it?

@april: Then they'd better do it fast because the auction ends in 3 hours and there hasn't been one single bid! The sort of people who "follow" those dingbats don't have a pot to piss in, so where would they get $179,850 freaking dollars?

Forgot something: The painting looks like something a person just learning to draw would do. It's the kind of thing you can pick up at a garage sale for $10 or $20. Just because it was painted by a so-called "demonologist" doesn't make it special! They should forget trying to sell it, claim it's "haunted" and put it on display in their Museum of the Insane!

It says "It is expected that the certificate will be signed by Lorraine Warren."
Expected?

I Have a original Ed Warren painting before he was a demonologist, it had been hanging in my grandmothers basement for as long as I can remember. When she passed I happen to be taking it down and there is a little article that talks about the painter on the back and it is Ed warren of bridgeport ct.

You could probably get a good price.

Did anyone actually pay $179,850.00 for this amateurish painting? I can't paint, but I could do that well.

Did anyone actually pay $179,850.00 for this amateurish painting? I can't paint, but I could do that well. It did not sell. Ed and Lorraine Warren had a racket where they would go to an alleged haunted house, Ed would paint the residence, then a few days later, Lorraine would go to the door offering the owners/renters the painting, so they would be invited inside. They would then pretend they “felt” something and attempt to con the residents into allowing them to “investigate.”
