A woman from Oklahoma City was arrested on child abuse charges after a 7-year-old girl told authorities she had been beaten, burned and tortured while the woman was dressed in a witch costume, authorities said.
Geneva Robinson (above), 49, was arrested after employees at Griffin Memorial Hospital told police the woman tried to admit the little girl, saying she couldn't control the child, according to a police report, KFOR-TV reported. The girl looked malnourished and was covered in burns and bruises, police said. Her ankles were striped with infected cuts. The child told social service workers that Robinson dressed up as a witch during torture sessions that included hanging the girl from rafters in the garage, bound by a dog leash and being beaten with a whip, authorities said. The "witch's" name was Nelda, the girl said. The 7-year-old also said she was forced to sleep with her wrists tied up because "she was in trouble."
The relationship between the girl and the woman was not clear. Three other children at the home were taken into protective custody, the station reported.
