They obviously do not care about realistic portrayals of the people involved, nor the events.

Are you planning to see "The Conjuring 3"? If you do, could you please review it for us, so we'll know if it's worth seeing? Will do. Did you ever see the new "Conjuring" movie?

Did you ever see the new "Conjuring" movie? Not yet. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it LOL! I'd probably rather watch paint dry. Every time I see it on my "You might like this" section, I think "No, I probably won't". One day I might get bored enough to watch it.

I know that Ed Warren himself said that people who contacted them were crazy, but what kind of thing do you think would lead people to believe they were being haunted? Also, in most of the Warren cases that I've read about, there are usually members of the family who don't believe their house is haunted, or that someone is possessed, such as the Conjuring 3 "The Devil Made Me Do It" case. In that case, neither the father nor the oldest son believed that the boy was possessed. Why are those who are the most reasonable ignored?

One of the Snedeker sons had cancer and was undergoing treatment, and I think the mother saw an opportunity to make money by claiming the family didn't know the house had once been a funeral home. When the Warrens got involved, they convinced the mother and some of the kids that the house was full of demons. It was a duplex and the entire house had been used by the funeral home, but the people in the other half of the house didn't have any problems.
The mother in the Glatzel family wouldn't allow her son to be examined by psychiatrists and decided instead to contact the Warrens, and I'm sure they suggested all kinds of things to the kid and other members of the family. After the Johnson guy killed the man, the Warrens and the family tried to connect what happened to the Glatzel kid's "possession," but he wasn't even present when the murder occurred.

After the Johnson guy killed the man, the Warrens and the family tried to connect what happened to the Glatzel kid's "possession," but he wasn't even present when the murder occurred. The warrens claimed the "haunting" resulted from acts of necrophilia in the funeral home, and that those who were doing it were identified and prosecuted. But I've heard there's nothing in the court files to indicate anyone was charged, and the owners of the funeral home denied anything like that ever happened. The Warrens made a lot of wild accusations about every case they were involved in.

People who contact "demonologists" and "ghostbusters" are typically lower middle-class with no more than a high school education, if that, -- like the Snedekers and Glatzels. They're the kind of people who display plastic religious statues and artificial flowers in their homes and have a TV and reclining chairs in their living rooms.

Yesterday and last night, a couple of people on Facebook linked this article during a discussion about the Warrens. The post asked people if they thought the Warrens were genuine or frauds. Sadly, it was in that paranormal group with the irritating moderator, so people were limited in what they could say. I don't post anymore in that group because of the helicopter mod, who considers herself some kind of exorcist.

Sadly, it was in that paranormal group with the irritating moderator, so people were limited in what they could say. I don't post anymore in that group because of the helicopter mod, who considers herself some kind of exorcist. If you're talking about the group that calls itself "Paranormal, Haunted, Creepy Places & Ghost Stories. Welcome Home," which, in my opinion, is a silly name, I know what you mean. Not only was that new mod always "hovering," accusing people of being rude, or whatever, she had this irritating habit of addressing people as "Hun," which is a derogatory term for those of German descent. I suppose she means "Hon," as in "Honey," but she's so stupid she doesn't know the difference. To make a long story short, I stopped posting in that group, and on Facebook entirely, because of her.
