For Sale: Scream-Inducing Home in Lansing, MichiganIf you’re looking for a scream-inducing hone in Lancing, Michigan, this is the house for you.
James Pyle of Century 21 took a unique approach in listing the house at 890 N. Chestnut Street and instead of the mundane photos of living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms, he added a figure dressed as Ghostface, the killer in the Scream franchise.
The single-family, 1,568-square-foot, 4-bedroom, 1-bath home, built in 1911, is located on a quarter-acre and the asking price is only $105,000. The house, which boasts original varnished woodwork in the downstairs area, is located in the Old Town neighborhood, offering rich, vibrant streetscapes in a livable, walkable, family-friendly community.
According to Pyle, Halloween is one of his favorite holidays and after 15 years as a real estate agent, he decided to try something new. “My goal,” he told The Lansing State Journal, “was 1,000 views. I just wanted people to take a look at the listing and smile, laugh and have fun with it. The reaction has been a lot of fun.” The newspaper estimates that since the house was listed five days ago, the listing has been viewed in excess of 20,000 times across various platforms.
The photos are intended to generate interest in the home. There are no killers lurking about the property ... so far as is known.

It's a great idea. If the house sells quick, other real estate agents will start putting spooks and other creatures in their ads.
