Big Cat 'the Size of a Large Dog' Filmed in East Yorkshire
Their existence in the UK is a thing of legend, but new footage suggests “big cats” could well be roaming the East Yorkshire countryside. A video filmed in fields near Skidby this weekend shows what appears to be a large black feline, described by Jon Newton, the man who filmed it, as “much bigger than a domestic animal.” He says the creature was “incredibly fast” and the “size of a large dog.”
The video was filmed in the East Riding village west of Cottingham on Sunday morning and comes after a spate of sightings of similar large black cats in the southwest earlier this year. In April, sightings of what was believed to be a panther or a puma were reported in Cornwall when a man said he thought it was behind an attack on a dog and a series of domestic cats that had gone missing.
Earlier this year, The Mirror issued a guide concerning how to survive if you spot a big cat roaming through the English countryside that advised observers not to run or submit to the beast.
