It's hard to believe that a metal like this could completely disappear from the earth for so long. Maybe there was a lost island of Atlantis that traded with other countries.

I saw on Law & Order where pedophiles have code words to identify each other. Like if a pedophile is at a playground watching kids play, he'll say something like "I love children" and another pedophile will know it's code for "I REALLY love children."
But the girls that the priest was abusing in this case weren't really children, they were teenagers.

I went to school with a guy who dated girls, played basketball, got married when he was around 21 and they had kid, who was about 6 years old, before he even figured out that he was gay. That could have been what happened with Oscar Wilde. I had always thought that gay guys were feminine and liked girly things, but this guy was a jock.

Thanks for the update, Jane. But please tell us about the death in Lee's family so that we can let her know that our thoughts are with her.

Graveyardbride, in a previous post I explained why Sheriff Howard Sills refuses to use the very experienced and well trained special agents and profilers of the GBI. One of the two reasons is that he believes the GBI<Georgia Bureau of Investigation> has been infiltrated by the Nuwaubian Cult. The other reason is that unless a Sheriff solves the crimes in his jurisdiction without the States help. The Sheriff's position will eventually be phased out, and go the way of the dinosaur.. Sheriff T-Rex Sills' interests lie in paleontology... Like I've said before, I haven't studied murder as much as most people on this site, so I'm no expert, but in the latest update, the sheriff said that he thinks the Dermond couple knew their killers and it's hard for me to believe that they would have been all that friendly with members of some black cult.

This one is a puzzler. It's beyond strange that Hickock and Smith just happened to be where these murders happened, but didn't have anything to do with them. But from the evidence, I think that the murders were committed by someone who knew Christine Walker and targeted her.

I'm not obsessed with murder, although I do like reading the "Today in History" articles and most of them are about murder. But I do know a little about the franchise business because I have some relatives who own franchises and it can be a cut-throat business. Some mom and pop couple save up to open a franchise and then some conglomerate like what this family owned comes along and buys it out from under them can result in some bad feelings. I don't know how things are down in Georgia, but where I live, some people have mob connections.

Like others said, Oswald was a kook, who was a communist, had lived in the Soviet Union, and had a Russian wife. So whoever it was who wanted JFK dead set him up. I don't know what his connection was to the shooting, but a woman in Dallas at the employment office swore that she was visited by Oswald two or three times before the shooting, but that they were two different men. They resembled each other, but the real Oswald was neatly dressed and quiet, but the second one was loud and sloppy. She wrote a statement about what she saw, but it was suppressed until after the Warren Commission released their report.

After reading how they badgered this guy, Frazier, and tried to get him to sign a confession, makes me suspicious of what everyone said. A lot of people will just give in and say whatever the police, FBI, or whoever is doing the questioning, wants them to say.

I just went back and re-read this because today is November 22nd again and because I saw a an episode of "Bones" where someone asked them to examine some bones that everyone believed were JFK. Agent Booth, the FBI on the show, insisted that there was just one shooter and that the shot came from the school book building and that made me remember this article. After reading it again, I saw that someone said that Oswald was seen drinking a coke AFTER the shooting. To me this means that someone other than Oswald was the shooter in the school book building, so even if the shot did come from the building, it doesn't prove that Oswald was the shooter.

The kid probably did something or said something that made his dad mad on the way home and he ended up accidentally killing him. Good article, Lee.

Even if they were able to duplicate the feeling of a presence in people with disorders, it doesn't explain why normal people have these feelings. People can also feel when someone is looking at them and no one has ever been able to explain that either.

I have a suggestion. Now that we've been through all of the murders, how about an article about the suspects?

April, do you mean that kids aren't taught to write anymore? If you can't write, you can't sign your name.
