In no way am I trying to defend this fiend, but he had a wife, and although it's not politically correct to say, the home is usually the domain of the woman of the house, so why did she choose to live in a place that was falling apart?

I suppose she's no longer a danger to others, but she took part in killing two people simply because Charles Manson told her to, and someone who does something that stupid doesn't belong in society.

I emailed a link to this article to a friend of mine and she was quick to blame Stephanie Boller's mother because she allowed her child to walk to a neighbor's house alone. I told her that if a man sets out to snatch a child, he's going to find one, no matter how closely parents watch their children. In the case of Polly Klass, she was taken from her parents' home during a slumber party. Ann Marie Burr, who lived in Tacoma, where I live and lived at that time, was taken from her home on a dark, stormy night. I'm not saying people shouldn't watch their children closely, but things can happen no matter how closely you watch them. When I was a kid, my parents thought nothing of allowing us to walk to the homes of nearby friends alone, and our friends walked to our home alone. You're right, you can't prevent everything, no matter how closely you watch kids. Also, if you don't give them a little freedom, they'll become too dependent and won't be able to make reasonable decisions on their own. I think the reason a lot of children today aren't capable of making the right decision is because their parents watch them too closely. Of course, kids don't walk to anyone's house these days, they just call or text on their cell phones, which is another reason they lack decision-making skills.

Are there others who hate all the CSI and NCIS shows on TV now? There must be at least a half-dozen CSI spinoffs and there are 3 or 4 NCIS shows on ION, ION Mystery, Charge and and other stations. I didn't like the original CSI and NCIS (after the first woman agent was killed off) and I absolutely despise all the others. Two other shows I can't stand that are shown too much are Bones and Monk.

The guides at Newstead Abbey really do a whitewash job when it comes to Lord Byron. I don't know all the particulars, but I've read here and there that he mistreated women in general, tried to rape the young daughter of his mistress, and had several young male lovers, and by young, I mean children.

This is a very good article and I'd like to see more about murders of the past. There's something about murders before the days of television when photos were in black and white that makes them seem more mysterious. I like the older murder stories, too. The more recent cases are often on Dateline, 48 Hours and other documentary shows, so there's a lot of information about them. With cases like this one, there's nothing on TV, and I had never even heard of it until I read this article.

I'm glad he was acquitted because he was a scapegoat. Scott Israel is the one who should have been on trial. I've heard that Israel was doing the same thing in Opa-locka that he did in Broward County -- promoting diversity instead of protecting the community. Everyone I've heard say anything about this case is happy he was acquitted for the same reason. A lot of people agree that Peterson was cowardly and could probably have done more than he did that day, but the person primarily at fault was Scott Israel for not training officers in how to respond to an active shooter. Like it says in the articles posted here, he required them to attend things like diversity and sensitivity training, but not how to do their jobs. They also blame him for not investigating the calls to the Cruz home and the calls from people saying Nikolas Cruz was planning to shoot up a school, etc.

I didn't know the hands of executed men made the best Hands of Glory. I remember in The Wicker Man (the 1973 version, not the Nicolas Cage travesty), there was a corpse with its hand removed and then Willow used a Hand of Glory to make Sgt. Howie sleep, only there wasn't time for the hand to have dried well enough to burn. In the book, there's something about the dead having to be watched closely to prevent the people of Summerisle from cutting off their hands.

The liberal media say he's a kook, but something is causing boys to suddenly want to become girls and vice versa. When I was in school, there was no such thing as sexual or gender dysphoria, and today, it's all over the news. I know a lot of kids are influenced by what they see online and a lot of it is people misinterpreting normal teenage angst for gender dysphoria, but I think it goes much deeper than that. If these chemicals in water are affecting frogs and fish, they're also affecting humans.

I wish people still had celebrations like this, but even if they did, everyone would be looking at their cellphones instead of actually taking part in what was going on. People today, that is, those who grew up with the internet and cellphones, have no sense of community, and even if they do attend a community event, they spend more time texting than interacting with others face to face. Young people don't even know how to act anymore. They're like robots, all walking around concentrating on their devices and ignoring the world around them.

I have a neighbor who worked as a guard at Florida State Prison back in the 1980s when Bundy was there, and I asked him if there was anything to the stories of Bundy's ghost. He said he never saw anything himself, but that after Bundy was executed, when he made his rounds on the wing where Bundy's cell was located, it would be deathly quiet and some of the guards, as well as the inmates, were spooked. He also said that the first men who occupied Bundy's old cell put up such a fuss about having a weird feeling that they were moved to other cells. He also said that Gerald Stano, another serial killer who once occupied the cell next to Bundy's, claimed he saw Bundy's ghost.

Because there was trauma found on the body of one of the women, I'd say it's a combination of the two. It would be easy for a serial killer to take advantage of Portland's liberal polices because if he smothered some drug addict he picked up and dumped her body in a place where it wouldn't be found for a while, police would just assume she OD'd and he'd get away with it.

Well, that is why most of us think he did it, but he says it was because it was too dangerous, and he didn't want anyone else to get hurt. That doesn't make any sense. Demons are supposed to be evil spirits that can enter people, houses, or whatever, at will. So how would bulldozing a house get rid of them? Couldn't they just take up residence in the house next door, or someone walking along the street?

After the airport shooting in 2017, Scott Israel knew his men (and women) weren't trained to respond to active shootings, but he did nothing about it. He didn't even require his deputies to attend active shooter training, but he required them to attend diversity training. He's the one who should be on trial for cowardice. The airport fiasco was one of the reasons Gov. DeSantis removed him from office. I have some friends in Fort Lauderdale and they said Israel was a publicity hound, who was constantly on TV hobnobbing with the Muslim community, the gay community, or whatever, promoting "diversity" rather than doing his job. He also hired unqualified people based on their nationality, gender, sexual orientation, etc., instead of their qualifications. Jan Jordan, the highest ranking officer at the school that day, was hired and promoted to captain because was a lesbian, and she ordered the other officers to form a perimeter instead of going into the building, so why isn't she on trial along with Peterson? When she was hired, her only law enforcement experience was working as an officer in a retirement community. At least she had the decency to resign after it became apparent that she didn't know what she was doing that day.

I've always said these drugs they're prescribing for children are behind all these mass shootings. Kennedy is right, there weren't shootings all the time before doctors and parents started drugging kids every time they misbehaved. There were kids who misbehaved when I was in school, but parents and teachers managed to control them without drugs. There was no such thing as ADHD and all the other psuedo-conditions psychiatrists diagnose kids having today, and there were no school shootings either.
