Man Puts Semen in Female Coworker's Drink
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – On June 26, a woman took a sip of water at work and noted a distinct taste and smell. When she looked at it, she saw a “mucousy,” white-colored substance floating on top. The woman didn’t think much about it until a similar situation occurred a week later.
On July 2, the woman was drinking from her mug and noticed the same thing floating in the container after leaving her desk unattended. That’s when she took action and reported the incident to a fellow employee and reviewed surveillance video. The footage showed a coworker, 62-year-old Robert Kenneth Tyson (above), entering the victim’s office on both June 26 and July 2 and pouring something into the mug. According to the police report, the victim believed the substance to be semen.
Tyson, whose job was to scan medical documents, was arrested August 2 on two charges of misdemeanor battery according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
The man apparently tampered with the victim’s drink because he did not like her management style and had written numerous letters of complaint to the human resources department claiming she wasn’t an effective office manager. The two worked together at Skin and Cancer Associates at 1903 Welby Way in Tallahassee.
The suspect, who was promptly terminated, admitted to putting “a couple of drops” of semen in his coworker’s cup, claiming he was exhausted because of his work schedule. “I am attaching a letter of admission of guilt and a plea to end this matter quickly. I pray it will,” Tyson wrote in an e-mail. “My life is a total wreck right now.”
