Florida Lawmaker Believes Dolls Can Be Possessed by Demons
Florida State Representative Kim Daniels (above) argues that demonic spirits are everywhere and many dolls are actually possessed by demons. In her new book, Breaking the Power of Familiar Spirits: How to Deal With Demonic Conspiracies, the Democratic lawmaker warns of “idolatry” and the power of “familiar spirits,” writing:
“Most idolatry is rooted in fetishism. Simply put, a fetish is an object with a spirit attached to it. If we’re not vigilant, we can open doors to familiar spirits in our lives and homes simply by the items we possess and the practices we keep.”
Charisma News explains: “In writing on fetishism and idolatry, Daniels goes back in history to when dolls had spiritual value attached to them. In religions and occult practices, dolls were used as supernatural intermediaries to confer favor, represent gods and enact witchcraft.”
Last year Daniels went on Facebook Live to pray against the witches attacking Trump. Her “In God We Trust” bill was approved in a 97-10 vote by the Florida House and was signed into law by Gov. Rick Scott. Daniels also made news earlier this year when she thanked God for slavery because otherwise she “might be somewhere in Africa worshiping a tree,” which, of course, is true. Still, she was attacked and criticized by liberals because her comment wasn’t politically correct.
Daniels seems to be on a religious mission to instill her beliefs in others as Christians are encouraged to do in the Bible and she has been open about exorcizing demons and speaking in tongues. Some accuse her of having no respect for secular values, when she is merely adhering to the teachings of her fundamentalist beliefs.
