Ivy married Harry. She would have been their sister in law. Of course. I stand corrected. I don't know what I was thinking. It's been many, many years since I read those books about Borley Rectory.

Vince O Neill has made public a lot of his mother’s direct views. I want more of a handle now on the original Bulls.

I know that the British don't travel around the UK as much as we travel around America, but since you're writing a book about it, don't you think that it would be helpful to visit the actual site?

I live in Halifax, not Whitby. I think I said I visited Whitby quite a lot. Borley is about 200 miles away and I would love to visit. I haven’t yet, but would love to get the atmosphere. To stand on that spot on Hall Road would be a real thrill. It is definitely on my list. Maybe summer. I have pored over it on google earth.

You should go in the fall, what ya'll call "autumn," when the trees are turning and there's a spooky feeling in the air. Some people say that the veil between life and death begins to open in the fall until it's fully open at Halloween. Afterwards, it begins to gradually close. This is why there are more ghost sightings around Halloween. We were at Borley toward the end of September, in what someone told us was the season of "mists and mellow fruitfulness," and the village of Borley was very atmospheric. But I'll bet it's bone-chilling at the end of October.

There are about three houses built in what used to be the gardens of the Rectory. At least one of them must have its own garden covering what used to be the nuns walk. I would be most chilled in that garden. The nun was said to have been seen several times on the same day, June 28th i think. Some day in June anyway. I wonder how aware the current residents are or if they give a damn.

There are some newer looking houses on what was once the grounds of Borley Rectory, but all you have to do is ask the people if you can go behind their houses and see where the nun walks. While we were in England, we asked numerous people if we could cross their property and no one said no. When we went to the Yellowmeade Stone Circles in Devonshire -- there are four of them -- we had to cross someone's farm and the wife and daughter went with us and were very interested in our trip and the places we'd visited. People were very accommodating everywhere we went.
