Elvis Reincarnated Canada!Elvis is in the building. And, this time, he's Canadian. That's what hundreds of thousands of YouTubers are saying since a video of 16-year-old David Thibault went viral after the Elvis impersonator wowed the radio personalities at Quebec's 102.1 CKOI on Monday.
In the video Thibault sings the first half of the Elvis classic "Blue Christmas" and accompanies himself on guitar to wild appreciation and applause. Close your eyes and you'd swear The King himself was in the studio.
Open them and you'll be struck by an obvious similarity in the looks department as well. Thibault has jet black hair (au naturel?) and a finely chiseled profile. But it's the voice turning all the heads.
Rarely has there been an Elvis impersonator who sounds so, ahem, dead on. And, at just 16-years-old, David Thibault has a bright future ahead.
Of course, the language barrier might be a problem. Thibault is a French-Canadian after all. Still, he had the good sense to close with Elvis' most famous line, even if it does need a little translation: "Merci. Merci beaucoup!"

He's got an amazing talent, unlike today's "singers".
