I'm not sure if anyone has heard of this new movie, but I like art house cinemas and when I went to see a Slovenian movie this weekend, I saw the preview for this new film that focuses on Jeffrey Dahmer's years as an awkward teenager and his rough childhood. It is based on the book by the same name, written by Derf Backderf, a classmate of Dahmer's. The movie is called "My Friend Dahmer" and it is going to be released in my local art house cinema on Friday the 13th (I doubt the release date is just a coincidence!). The movie seems to have gotten good reviews, although I am somewhat skeptical of the actor, considering he's a young guy that is a happy-go-lucky kid on the Disney Channel and this is a very dark role. Has anyone heard anything about this movie, or planning to see it? I plan to go Friday evening, weather-permitting. I have to admit, they did a great job with the casting; he looks eerily similar to the real Dahmer -- see for yourselves... Attachments:

Serial killers like Bundy are interesting, but I've never had any interest in gay serial killers.
