Stairway to Heaven Photographed in Georgia
On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 25, 2017, three people died in a motor vehicle collision south of Gainesville, Georgia. Hannah Simmons, 23, driving a Subaru Legacy on Friendship Road, near its intersection with Jones Drive, lost control, struck a concrete curb, crossed the center concrete median and veered into the path of a Ford truck driven by Dana Collins, 61.
Simmons and Lauren Buteau, 28, a front-seat passenger in the Subaru, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Simmons' daughter, A’lannah Hopkins, age 9 months, was transported to the hospital, where she died later. Collins wasn’t seriously injured.
Anisa Gannon 19, held up in traffic because of the accident, snapped a picture of the scene to prove she was “sitting in the wreck in case my boss wondered why I was late.” When her aunt, Tara Noble, saw the photo, she noticed it appeared to show the image of a golden beam of light from the wreckage to the sky and remarked it looked like “a pathway up to heaven.”
Ms. Gannon, believing the image could bring some peace to those affected by the crash, gave them copies of her picture. Judy Simmons, mother of Hannah Simmons, said of the photo: “I just needed something to show me that they were in Heaven and that they were okay, and that was my confirmation. It gave me a peace that was indescribable.”

This one has been making its way around Facebook groups. Personally I think that it is just a reflection on a window. Upon close examination, it appears to be taken through a closed window from inside a car, though the owner of the photo claims the window was down.

I have seen this picture before, I suppose it was at the time that the crash occurred. It looks like lens flare, and the window being up could easily cast even more reflections.

I have seen this picture before, I suppose it was at the time that the crash occurred. It looks like lens flare, and the window being up could easily cast even more reflections. The crash occurred on April 25, 2017. There was another similar photo a few years ago. But like April said, it's just a reflection.
