Yes, I agree with you. If she knew anything about the abuse she would have told Jerry Koob. There is absolutely no evidence that she said anything to anyone. Russell never admitted anything and didn't even tell the police investigators that Maskell and Magnus barged into the apartment. It's all rumors.

Hello, sorry I have been so busy at work. Someone asked if the letter was typed or handwritten from what I heard it was handwritten and dated Nov. 3. Another question was about the psychologist. If you mean the one from the documentary, Dr. Lee Richmond, professor of education from Loyola. As far as what Koob said about Maskell, not sure but I believe he said that after he weighed all things. The so called abuse and that Jean believed she saw the body. So it could have been that his thoughts were thinking that after all the allegations came out. I don't think he knew anything of the abuse before she disappeared or for many years till the Jean came out with the abuse. Russell never told anyone about it, not even the police. Lots of questions but all rumors. From what I've read online, the letter was typed. I found several references, but some were on Reddit and most people on Reddit are either mentally ill or drug addicts. Here's what I found in a Primetimer comments section: I also walked away from the series thinking we had two different crimes that weren't necessarily related, though. We have the sexual abuse occurring in various parishes in Baltimore at the time. Then we had the murder of Sister Cathy. To my recollection, the only thing we heard that connected the two were Jean's memories of seeing Cathy's body. That's not enough evidence for me to say that I think Maskell was even involved in her death. By that point, Cathy had moved on to another school and hadn't, it seems, been able to hinder Maskell's activities in any way. The idea that she was an imminent threat to him to be silenced wasn't proven to me. For that case, I had the same reservations that others have mentioned about Koob. His story at the police station was kind of bizarre, and then he had that typed note from Cathy about her feelings for him. But...Cathy's sister talked about all the handwritten letters she received from Cathy, so it's strange to me that Koob would have received a typewritten one with such personal revelations. Suspicious, sure, but not enough to hang a case on. forums.primetimer.com/topic/57630-the-keepers/?page=4Some also say Koob was gay, but he later left the priesthood, got married and became a Methodist minister.

I don't know much about recovered memories, but I've heard that sometimes a person who has gone through something horrible will exaggerate and make it much worse than it was by creating something in their minds like a movie or TV show. Is it possible that Jean Wenher(sp?) went into a trance when she was sitting in the dark with a candle burning and got what she saw on Twin Peaks confused with what she believed happened to her? There's no doubt there's something wrong with her, because if you believe her, then just about every man she ever met sexually abused her and that isn't normal.

I actually do believe some of it or most of it was exaggerated. I unfortunately do not believe everything she says. Way too much sex going on in the school with classes going on and supposedly police coming and going and pulling down their pants and apparently she has said she was taken to the rectory by Maskell. Now, can this happen, yes of course but I just do not believe her. She is a broken woman and I feel for her, she had two miscarriages that left her even more depressed, it was in her court documents. Just the other day she did a podcast with Gemma and Shane and apparently she added more exaggerations to her story. I have not listened to it. I guess I am just so frustrated and angry at Gemma and Shane for honestly talking about a murder that they have absolutely no proof was done by Maskell, Magnus, Ed, Billy or the Devil. Just no proof. Yet they keep it up. They have and before Shane they went after Maskell's sister under false pretense to try to get information. Just wrong. Now they are selling tee-shirts for $19.99 with their logo on it, Gemma and Shane and in the background is Cathy. They are capitalizing on her death. Just wrong. Gemma wants fans and seems thrive on this story of murder. She keeps telling everyone that the detectives are close to solving it. She has been saying that for 2 years. I am angry at the deception of how she keeps this story going. She claims she didn't know anything about Scannell and when this woman Michele saw the documentary she was told by this woman she was raped by Scannell and Ed because they were friends and would drive her around. Yes, Ed Davidson. So many untruths being told and exaggerations. The people on their facebook are amazed and worship Gemma and Shane. Whatever she puts out they follow like sheep. God forbid if you were on the Keepers if you questioned anything. Gemma is as sick as Jean. Shane is going to get what he can from this partnership with Gemma and the story of Cathy's murder. It is totally insane.

This is what she posted on her site Out of the Shadows"
Gemma Hoskins Moderator ยท June 15 at 3:33 PM PLEASE RESPOND: If we decide to do Out of the Shadows t-shirts, who of you would be interested? We would try to keep them around $19.99, which of course is a gentle way of saying $20. The design would be the same as what is at the top of this page. Please share so we can get an idea of whether it is worth it. We are not permitted to sell anything on The Keepers page. Thanks

My mother has been interested in The Keepers since it came out, but she doesn't believe those women. Recently, she went to visit my aunt and they were talking about The Keepers with some people they met on a tour. The man had gone to school with Fr. Magnus, the priest that retarded Vondensomething woman said raped her. The guy said that Magnus was queer as a $3 bill. He said that if Magnus had been accused of sexually abusing boys, he would believe it, but no way did he rape a female.

Now that is interesting and good to know. I don't believe Magnus was a rapist. Just don't and I have a hard time believing any of these women.

As for that Donna, I DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING SHE HAS TO SAY. You know her cousin is that woman on keepers Debbie Silcox who Gemma had a fight with, well Debbie's brother Brian says he was also sexually abused by a priest at St. Marks.

I could be remembering wrong, but I thought that Magnus was the priest they all started accusing first and then when they found out he was dead, they started accusing Maskell.

He was the first priest that Jean accused first and then she found out he was dead and Maskell was then the target. Teresa never accused him but Donna did.

Did you ever hear any of them talking about why Magnus was accused before Maskell? Do you know if Magnus and Maskell were such good friends that they hung out together? The way it was told on The Keepers, they both went to Sister Cathy's apartment that night, even though we now know that was something Gemma Hoskins made up.

I must let you all know. I was on Gemma's team and I am from NJ. I did not visit Baltimore. I would research whatever Gemma wanted and most of the time it was listening to her talk about the in fighting. No one ever spoke about why Magnus was accused first other than Jean remembered his first after she saw his picture and to be honest now that I am thinking about it. Magnus actually never really came up. It was and from what I see on the pages on facebook it's all about Maskell. Magnus comes up once in a while.

I don't remember Debbie Silcox. Was she one of the Sacred Cows?

Donna Silcox or Hannon was in the first episode. She described the "firsts" of Baltimore. At the end of the episode she says "we;re not going to stop"
