Does Fidel Castro's Death Signify Economic Collapse?According to John W. Johnson, approximately 35 years ago, the Lord spoke to him in a vision regarding events preceding the economic collapse of the United States. Around 1981, Johnson said, God gave him a prophetic word of knowledge as follows:
“When you see that the Berlin wall comes down and when you see the Soviet Union take a severe blow then it makes a recovery, and then you see the death of Fidel Castro; then shall come the collapse of the economic system of the United States.”
The Berlin wall separated East and West Germany for more than 25 years. The construction began August 13, 1961. It was opened and many sections literally knocked down November 9, 1989.
The Soviet Union officially dissolved December 31, 1991, when all official Soviet institutions ceased to function in the various republics of the vast nation. The individual governments of these newly-created independent countries began functioning separately. In Moscow, Mikhail Gorbachev, General Secretary of the Communist Party, resigned December 25, and at midnight December 31, 1991, the Soviet flag atop the Kremlin was replaced by the present Russian tricolor. Today, Russia is once again a world power.
“When you see the death of Fidel Castro; then shall come the collapse of the economic system of the United States.”

I don't know about this prophesy, but something that I've heard all of my life is that you shouldn't ever celebrate when someone dies or has bad luck, even if they're your worst enemy, because it will come back on you. Those idiot Cubans down in Florida have been celebrating Castro's death by dancing in the streets and there is such a thing as karma. I wouldn't be surprised if the next hurricane that hits south Florida wipes them off the map.

I thought that very same thing when I saw them on TV, all out in the street celebrating, that the next hurricane was going to wash them away. I'm glad that I live in north Florida, nowhere near Miami-Dade.

This is uncanny. The same thing occurred to me. Didn't he practice the Cuban religion called Santeria?

Well, then I hope I am spared from the possibility of a hurricane. I am not Cuban but unfortunately, I do live in Miami-Dade. I have heard many people say that the U.S. is on the verge of an economic collapse that will be like The Great Depression or even worse. Some of these people are bankers or stockbrokers and see signs of it, I did not know someone had prophesied it decades ago, though. For the sake of us living in the U.S., I hope that if this does end up occurring, that we are spared.

This is uncanny. The same thing occurred to me. Didn't he practice the Cuban religion called Santeria? I never heard of this prophesy before he died, so I'm wondering if it's legit. He supposedly had the protection of the gods, which is the reason the CIA was never able to kill him even though they made more than 600 attempts on his life. There was a very good post about his practice of Santeria in one of the old groups. A lot of Cubans in Miami also practice Santeria and even those that don't, know about it, which begs the question: Why celebrate and risk the wrath of the gods? But though Cubans are hardworking, unlike most Hispanics, most of them aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. It was wrong of them to act like they did when he died and if there is some sort of divine retribution, they deserve it. I'm just happy they're in Florida and not Louisiana!

Most of the Cubans in this country claim that they're Christians, but I've never seen any of them act like anything but heathens. I'd feel guilty about celebrating someone's death and it's certainly not the Christian thing to do. Those who are celebrating deserve whatever happens to them.

Even if a hurricane does destroy Little Havana, they'll all get out before it hits and unless the place is completely washed away, they'll return and rebuild. Even if it is washed away, they'll settle in some other part of Florida.

If Miami-Dade is washed away, Florida will lose some of its electoral votes.

Unless the hurricane washed all the people away, it wouldn't change the electoral votes. Like Jason said, the Cubans will just settle in some other part of the state.

I know that it's wrong to wish bad luck on people, but the way the Cubans in our country have been acting about Fidel Castro's death is unforgiveable, in my opinion. The Cubans in Miami are as bad as the Muslims when it comes to wanting everything their way. I don't know if it'll be a hurricane, but those who were celebrating should have to pay for how they acted, so if a hurricane blows them away, good riddance.

Maybe I'm misreading, but it sounds like everybody wants the Cubans in Florida to get hit by a hurricane because they celebrated that Castro died, but he was also a Cuban.

I'll try to explain: Fidel Castro was Cuban, but he was in Cuba, where he belonged. The Cubans in Miami and other parts of the US aren't in Cuba, they're here, where they don't belong. They came here and brought their hatred for Fidel Castro with them and they expect everyone else to hate him and celebrate his death just because they do. They bitch and moan because he took away their private businesses, so they came here and want to take away our rights. The way they danced in the streets was shameful and they'll pay for it, whether by a hurricane, or some other way, they will pay, because that's how karma works.

This message is for Lee: I read somewhere that Castro was buried on what is called Chango Day, which is the name of a Santeria god that's represented by Santa Barbara. You used to live in Cuba and you wrote something about him practicing Santeria in the old group. What is the significance of him being buried on Chango Day?
