Adults Only ‘Killers & Thrillers Ghost Tours’ - New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS – Our Killers and Thrillers Tours are unique in that they combine ghosts and hauntings with true crime, voodoo, demonology and more. When we were researching and writing the Killers and Thrillers Tours, we knew we wanted this to be a stellar ghost tour, totally different from anything else out there. On this tour, every stop shares a common theme, we tell a much more in-depth story, more so than on any of the other tours. The Killers and Thrillers ghost tours explores the darker side of human nature and the spirits left behind as a result of these actions. Throughout history, men and women have done some awful things to each other. The history of New Orleans is no different. Also, on the Killers and Thrillers Ghost Tours, participants spend most of your time “off the beaten path” traversing side streets where many other ghost tours rarely go. If you're looking for a unique ghost tour, with mature themes, one of the Killers and Thrillers Ghost Tours is the tour for you. On The Killers and Thrillers Ghost Tours, you'll visit:
• Former brothels and bordellos where you’ll hear about the ghosts that haunt them and the lives of the madams and young women who worked there (both East and West).
• The house of Marie Laveau, the famous, or infamous, Voodoo practitioner (Killers and Thrillers East).
• The site of New Orleans' most notorious chemist and rumored sociopath (Killers and Thrillers West) and much more!
Voodoo, Rituals and Spells. When many think of Voodoo, they think of New Orleans and this is for good reason. We have thousands of voodoo practitioners, many of them highly-respected within the Voodoo community. One of the most famous ever, Marie Laveau, was from right here in New Orleans. On the 8:30 p.m. Killers and Thrillers Tour, you'll see the location where Mme. Laveau lived. At this stop, you'll learn a lot about Voodoo, spells and rituals. You'll even hear the real story of Marie Laveau and her climb to becoming synonymous with Voodoo in New Orleans.
Haunted Brothels. New Orleans is very well known as a city of vice. No matter what you're looking for, legal or otherwise, you can probably find it in New Orleans. Starting with Smokey Row, followed by Storyville, New Orleans and prostitution have been synonymous for almost 200 years. On this tour, you will discover why many of these former brothels are haunted. You'll visit the sites of former brothels and hear the true stories of what it was like to be involved in this sordid and dangerous industry. You'll also hear the ghost stories about the women, the madames, and the Johns which still haunt these houses of ill repute.
Dueling, Murders, and Suicides. Did you know the garden behind St. Louis Cathedral was once the location where duels were held in New Orleans? Could this explain some of the apparitions seen here? In addition to dueling, New Orleans has always had a violent undertone. Many of the famous murders and suicides in the French Quarter have left behind more than a few specters. On the Killers and Thrillers Ghost Tour, you'll be taken to locations where these grisly events took place and where the phantoms from these events continue to haunt the living. Sometimes these wraiths simply want to tell their stories. Other times, they can be a bit aggressive, even a little violent. Are you brave enough to chance an encounter with one of these malicious spirits?
Both versions of the Killers and Thrillers Tour takes place in the infamously haunted French Quarter.
