‘Ghostbusters’ Star Once Lived in Haunted HouseMelissa McCarthy (above) ain’t afraid of no ghost! Seriously, the Ghostbusters star said she actually shared a house with one for a while and was totally fine with the living arrangement.
“I do believe in ghosts,” the actress told US Weekly in an interview to promote the new flick. “I lived in a house in Boulder, Colorado, that every time you walked up there – everyone who walked up there said – ‘Oh, I don’t like this.’ There was just a presence.”
Ah! How freaky is that??? So did Melissa call over her co-stars to try and exterminate the phantom intruder with a proton pack? Apparently not – though we would have liked to see that!
It seems like the ghost wasn’t that scary after all, because Melissa joked around with Ghostbusters director, Paul Feig, 53, in the interview that she would think to herself, “Why does it keep spelling out ‘Melissa’ in blood?'” At least it wasn’t writing “redrum,” Melissa!
We wonder if the actress used her experiences with her sort of friendly ghost in preparation for her role in the female-led Ghostbusters reboot. The eagerly anticipated film comes out on July 15 and we can’t wait to see Melissa, along with Kristen Wiig, 42, Kate McKinnon, 32, Leslie Jones, 48, and Chris Hemsworth, 32, duking it out with some paranormal parasites on the big screen!
In the film, Melissa’s character, Abby Yates, and Kristen’s Erin Gilbert, play scientists and former high school pals who join forces again several years after a falling out over whether ghosts really exist. Well, now we know what Melissa thinks! Source: Jennifer Maas, HollywoodLife, July 15, 2016.

I suppose the producer decided to go for a little realism in this film -- Melissa McCarthy is certainly the correct size for a ghostbuster!

I suppose the producer decided to go for a little realism in this film -- Melissa McCarthy is certainly the correct size for a ghostbuster! You've talked about fat ghost hunters before. Do you think there's a reason so many people into ghost hunting with gadgets are grossly obese or is it just that so much of the population is grossly obese?
