Can You Spot the Ghost in Hampton Court Photo?Driver Trevor Tye had driven a coach-load of tourists to Hampton Court. He ventured into the royal palace to take some snaps while he waited for them to return. It was only when he returned home to view his photos that he was left shocked by what he saw. On the landing of the beautiful marble staircase, the figure of a young woman stood eerily looking down.
Trevor claims he sent the pictures to the palace. They informed him that a security guard had also spotted the ghost of a young girl or woman in the same spot on more than once occasion.
Many claim the apparition is Catherine Howard, fifth wife of Henry VIII. She was imprisoned at Hampton Court and executed in 1542 at the age of 21. It is said she managed to break free of the security guard and ran down the halls to plead with Henry to spare her life. Her spirit has been spotted on numerous occasions roaming the halls of Hampton Court.

She looks more like she's kneeling than standing. I know people were smaller back then than they are now, but if she's standing, that's a damned high railing!

Yes, to me it looks like she is kneeling as well. I can see the bend of her knees and her calves and feet against the floor, unless that is a dress train I am seeing and not her legs.
