Presidents and Vice Presidents Say the Dumbest Things
Sometimes, the president or vice president of the United States, or someone running for those offices, just screws up while talking. It can be in an offhand comment, an announcement to the public, or an address to Congress. Maybe it's because they're tired, or not thinking clearly, or maybe they're just not thinking at all. But luckily for us, these moments of inarticulateness are recorded to entertain us and remind us that even those leaders (or potential leaders) of our country are just regular people. Fortunately, though, for most regular folk, there's seldom the chance to look foolish in front of millions.
"Often, I don't seem to grasp that I am president." – Warren G. Harding
"Things have never been more like the way they are today in history." – Dwight D. Eisenhower
"When the president does it, that means it's not illegal." – Richard Nixon
"If Abraham Lincoln was alive today he would roll over in his grave." – Gerald Ford
"I have left orders to be awakened at any time in case of national emergency – even if I'm in a Cabinet meeting.” – Ronald Reagan
“Facts are stupid things." – Ronald Reagan
"I have opinions of my own, strong opinions, but I don't always agree with them." – George H. W. Bush (1989-1993)
"What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is." – Dan Quayle (vice president 1989-1993)
"I love California, I practically grew up in Phoenix." – Dan Quayle
"I was recently on a tour of Latin America and the only regret I have was that I didn't study Latin harder in school so I could converse with those people." – Dan Quayle
"I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future." – Dan Quayle
"It depends on what the meaning of the word is is." – Bill Clinton
"A zebra does not change its spots." – Al Gore
"Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across the country." – George W. Bush (2001-2009)
"They misunderstimated me." – George W. Bush
"Folks, I can tell you I've known eight presidents, three of them intimately." – Joe Biden
"I've now been in 57 states – I think one left to go." – Barack Obama

So with all the dumb quotes by dumb presidents and VPs, you chose a photo of George W. Bush and we all know why. Even though you're usually objective, once again, you've confirmed that women can't always be trusted to make an unbiased decision.

You're always looking for something to support your claim that women are stupid.

I'd like an answer to this too, Jason.

I know that you're up to no good - AGAIN! - trying to start something, but I don't see how her posting a photo of Bush has anything to do with women not being trusted to make unbiased decisions.

I don't see how a picture of Bush, instead of one of the others, proves anything.

Everyone makes the occasional mistake and it's more noticeable when someone is there recording everything you say, but some of these men make a lot more mistakes than others, especially Dan Quayle and George W.
I have no idea what you've come up with now, Jason, and I'm afraid to ask.

I have a theory that most women who vote aren't a whole lot different from prison groupies and I'm going to create a poll to prove it. I realize that not many people vote in these polls, but it will be a start. Then you'll understand the significance of Dumbya's photo and why Lee chose it instead of a photo of one of the other dozen men she quoted.

So when are you going to create this poll, Jason? I don't see anything wrong with the picture of Bush, but I have to admit that I'm curious.
Did Al Gore really say that a zebra doesn't change it's spots? He's so dull and serious that I'm surprised that he ever made a mistake like that. It sounds more like something Bush would have said.

I'd really like to know why you think I chose a photo of George W. Bush and how it relates to prison groupies.
