1976 Murder of Judy Parks Remains UnsolvedOn October 9, 1976, a badly decomposed body was discovered in a wooded area off Highway 103, near Timberlea, Nova Scotia. The body was partially covered concealed but was soon identified as that of 14-year-old Judy Gerald Parks (above), who had gone missing four months earlier in July.
At the time of her disappearance, Judy was living in Apartment 303 at 2 Keating Road in Halifax. She was last seen during on the evening of July 10.
Police believe there are people who have information that could lead to a suspect.
The murder of Judy Parks has been added to Nova Scotia’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers up to $150,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
