Haunted Cleveland Ghost Tours: Cleveland’s Worst Disaster Tour. Explore the neighborhood where homes and businesses were engulfed by a tidal wave of fire, and visit the Police Museum, a haunted railcar and more. 6-9:45 p.m. Fridays through Nov. 1. Ghosts of Fairport Harbor Walking Tour: Explore this haunted area on the shores of Lake Erie with ghost host Joanie Contento. 7 p.m. Saturdays in October. Advance tickets required. Tour meets up at the Light House at the corner of Second and High streets in Fairport Harbor. Register at www.meetthespirits.com. $12 per person.
Midwest Railway Preservation Society Open House: Tour the death car where 26 locomotive passengers died, a haunted roundhouse and more at the site of the old Baltimore and Ohio roundhouse. Downtown Kent Ghost Walk: Learn about the ghosts of Kent on this guided walking tour. 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18. Tours depart every 10 minutes from the Kent Stage until 10 p.m. $8-$10.
Psychic Sonya’s Wednesday Walking Ghost Tours of Medina: Highlights include a visit to pioneer cemetery, a haunted restaurant and a seance house. Through Nov. 6. Meet at Medina’s downtown square Gazebo at 7:15 p.m. Starts 7:30 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m. Advance tickets recommended. Call 440-775-1217. $20 per person. ‘Night for a Fright’ at Evergreen Hill Cemetery: An evening filled with stories of Cleveland and Chagrin Valley’s most notorious ghost sightings, set in the lantern-lit shadows of Chagrin Falls. Western Reserve historian Dan Ruminski will enchant all with his graveside chat, followed by a reception at Kelly’s Working Well Farm. 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Advance tickets, $25, recommended, available at CVWL.com. Proceeds will go to support Chagrin Valley Women’s League’s 2013-14 beneficiaries, which are Kelly’s Working Well Farm and Friends of CASA.
East Cleveland Township Cemetery Walking Tour: Learn about the residents buried under the ground – including Civil War veterans – on this Halloween-themed tour. 7 and 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Free all-ages tour. Meet at 1621 East 118th Street.
