I would love to go to Salem at Halloween, but I've heard that it's awfully crowded. I'd like to visit Salem during Halloween, too, but I've heard that you have to make hotel reservations a year in advance. The actual witch trials had already ended by October in 1692, so there isn't really a Halloween connection, but witches and Halloween go together.

I've never been to Salem, but it's on my list of places I want to visit.

We've been to Salem twice during our Dark Shadows trips, both times during the summer. I know the witch accusations actually started in the winter and continued through the spring and summer, but I just think it would be a lot more "witchy" in the fall with a nip in the air, the trees turning and spooky jack-o-lanterns.
